  • Another great purchase from Earfun
Color: Black
Although I didn't need yet another earbud model, I decided to add the Earfun Air Pro 3 to my pile. I'm glad I did. Im listening to music thru them right now! Awesome. Totally awesome... In short- I love these Air Pro 3s! -----They exhibit premium quality features at a low cost. ❤️ I love you Earfun! I think I'm now on my 12th different earbud set (different models from different brands) in a year - they all work.... but I've been on a quest to find that perfect winner. Really, I already had met all my requirements in an earbud before all this earbud buying - the beautiful Earfun Free Pro 2 has it all. I guess it's just because I like personal audio devices. I certainly don't actually need them all lol. They are all different to some extent. Some are stem style, some button style and wing style. I'm always on the quest for something different or a great deal. Maybe Im developing a earbud buying disorder?.....Why these Air Pro 3's? Well, I already had the Earfun Free Pro 2 and the Earfun Free Mini (I think that's the model. That one is discontinued). I have enjoyed both. *The Free Pro 2s are my #1 all-time favorite "all rounder" for everyday use* ---but now this Air Pro 3 throws a wrench in my rankings bc it's right next to the Free Pro 2s (FP2s) being at the top for being a perfect All Rounder everyday earbud that's chock full of options and capabilities. I will say I like the general overall shape / fit design of the FP2s better, but they are similar in sound, loudness, great bass, great noise cancelling and great transparency mode. I'm not a big stem style fan...I have a few though. I absolutely had to try this one. Come to think of it, the FP2s were the very first set I bought around a year ago... that started this whole earbud buying thing. I was perfectly happy with the Free Pro 2s, but wanted something to use as a backup when they needed a charge. My second set (another brand, cheaper..."T6's") were unimpressive (ok). Then I got a 3rd cheap backup - from yet a different 3rd brand (Free 2 Classic) - ok, basic.... then a 4th... I should've just bought another set of Free Pro 2s at that point, but I kept wanting to see if there was something else that could compete with the Free Pro 2s.... nothing so far in the low budget area...those others didn't have a lot of features...soooo.... Then I wanted something that had both noise cancelling and transparency mode like the FP2s. - next step up. So I got a more upgraded 5th pair from a 4th diff brand -Soundcore. Those (a3i's) were ok, but the transparency mode wasn't nearly as good as the FP2s. Plus, it didn't have the awesome bass /sub bass that the FP2s have. Then I grabbed another set that was a upgrade from the prior (Life P3)- that one is almost as good as the FP2s...but the transparency mode(s) were still not as good as the FP2s (all the other aspects were pretty good, but the FP2 was still my fav)...now at this point - I was already really sick with Earbud Buying Derangement Syndrome (EBDS) and started buying other, more exotic models, especially when I could find a deal. Specifically ones that were considered high end but we're being sold super cheap bc they never got popular. I also got a couple of earbuds sets that are dual driver designs- I really enjoy those for music. That's something I wish Earfun would introduce - a dual or even a triple driver wireless / tws earbuds. Anyway, at the end of all this crazy earbud buying, other than maybe 2 specific models I enjoy, nothing really grabbed me as a direct compliment / competitor to my FP2s for all round enjoyment and practical use - until I got these Air Pro 3s. I'm mentioning all this to simply show my experience with a variety of earbuds. I didn't get specific about anything because Amazon has recently been denying my reviews because I talk about too many aspects around --- products, sellers, packaging, delivery, shape of product and prices ---- seriously ---- these items I just mentioned were sent to me in a message stating that my reviews are being denied from public access because I talk about that stuff - ALL THAT STUFF IS DIRECTLY RELATED, APPLICABLE TO THE PRODCTS BEING REVIEWED AND IS WHAT MAKES A REVIEW A REVIEW.... Sorry - I had to say that because I'm afraid to to do any reviews now. These reviews can take time to do. So back on point - I tried a bunch of different earbuds with different capabilities from different manufacturers/ brands. These Earfun Air Pro 3s are a great buy. They are very similar in many ways to my beloved Earfun Free Pro 2s...except theyre stem style and have app support (a big plus) ★★★★★ Loud - yes (I'm a volume junkie - important) ★★★★★ Great bass - yes (and some low extension as well) If u refer to the raw frequency data graph on rtings.com you will see the huge amount of bass these put out. Deep bass, bass extension, great sub bass. *The 11mm wool composite dynamic drivers are designed for ear punching hardcore bass...and keep mids clear with no struggle †NO WORRIES - if it's too much, u can EQ the bass out easily in the Earfun App. Its always better to have extra low end than not have enough...it's a lot harder to add bass then take way. Fact-Verified (lol) ★★★★★ Clear mids - yes (u can self adjust EQ if needed). The mids push thru without any major struggle and retain vocal & instrument detail and basic positioning. Sound / instrument separation is good. Stereo imaging is decent. *If you find the mid bass & or high bass a bit much or if it's starting to muddy up a track, simply play with the EQ - these Air Pro 3s are very EQable. Seriously... I don't have any issues pulling out most details in my music. Now I will say (this should be an obvious point) ---- I wouldn't expect to hear the same amount of detail in the mid-frequency to upper-mid, low treble frequency range that you can hear & recover in a set of premium open back, over ear circumaural headphones. For that level of spacious detail, separation and soundstage I have the Philips Fidelio X2HR, SHP9600, and Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro's. ---again - these are all full size on ear studio / professional headphones. Can't compare apples to oranges. * These earbuds are single driver (dynamic) closed backs that are going to have limitations. IMO they do a great job for all music & voice reproduction and meet or exceed the intended purpose of this product line. ★★★★ Treble - overall pleasant - not too bright (some sensitive ppl may have to tame it down a little),.... but not dull and quiet either. Generally speaking the treble is good , not particularly spectacular....well - I'm conflicted here. On some tracks it's really nice, detailed and pleasant. Other times it's just ok. Not bad by any means. Most single driver earbuds fall in this good, but not great ranking regarding high frequencies. These Air Pro 3s have an advanced driver that's fully capable. Adjustments in the EQ may be required when changing genre's or track types when it comes to treble (for critical listening). I have 3 different sets of dual driver earbuds (2 sets have a 10mm driver paired with a 6mm driver in front...the other has a 10.2 mm driver with a balanced armature in front for high frequencies.) Only those multi driver sets have extra detailed treble that's exceptional and well above average. I would love to see Earfun make something similar -hint hint lol. I would say overall the Air Pro 3 has excited treble, but not too sibilant (again, u can adjust if necessary) and is fully acceptable with enough detail and energy. ★★★★★ Noise Cancellation - very effective at low frequency noise cancellation - ie transportation sounds - aircraft, trains, buses. Since I no longer travel *(I wish I had these several years ago when I used to travel coast to coast all over the Continental USA for 15 years....mostly drive large commercial trucks but also had to fly on occasion. Travelers have it made with technology these days) --anyway (lol) -i now use these for both fan and air conditioner noise that I have blowing at 2 of my listening stations. ****These Air Pro 3 almost completely block out the A/C rumble noise. Barely...barely can make out a faint noise. Matter of fact, they do a better job than a pair of ANC JBL headphones I have. Also better than or at least tied to other sets...very strong noise cancellation. Love it ★★★★★ Transparency Mode - Air Pro 3 works better in this mode than most other earbuds in my collection. The Soundcore models I have (A3i, Life P3, Liberty 3 Pro) - 2 of those have multi Transparency Modes...and still, I like the Air Pro 3 better in this category. With the Air Pro 3s, U can hear everything around you as if they aren't in ur ears. Those other buds are too quiet in transparency mode and can be dangerous to use in public traffic. This is an important issue to me. Another matter of fact - one of the reasons I got into an earbud buying binge was to find another pair (along with my FP2s) that have a good transparency mode. In all fairness , the Edifier w240tn and Philips TAT8506 also have a good Transparency Mode, but have other issues that would keep them from being in the very top with the FP2s and the Air Pro 3s...the w240tns have a crackling issue in the left driver when in ANC mode and the TAT8506s can be a little quiet volume wise, plus they are a bit big physically (always something, right). Bottom line in this category - exceptional Transparency Mode ‡ I haven't tried gaming / low latency mode. ★★★★★ Bluetooth Codecs - WOW!¡!¡! Qualcomm QCC 3070 chipset - this is premium! -aptX adaptive † low latency mode - AAC - LC3 - SBC Most of my other earbud sets don't have but SBC and maybe AAC...a couple have LDAC and LHDC. LDAC is great, BUT only works with my phone. Both my Bluetooth transmitter / receivers I use for TV streaming only have aptX HD / LL ---- no LDAC OR LHDC. So this works out great for me having aptX adaptive (it works retro with my transmitters). Plus - aptX uses less battery than LDAC... LDAC is a battery sucker - they Hoover up the juice. The aptX adaptive version is the most efficient codec to date. Plus they have the upgraded QCC 3070 chipset instead of the more common 3040 - sweet! Earfun really thought this through. ★★★★★ Battery Life - so far so good. I don't have specific times, but to keep it short and sweet - these last a long time in various modes compared to other sets †Wireless charging is cool to have. Works great just placing them on my charging disc ★★★★★ Phone Calls - another short and sweet segment ---- with the few calls made, these have great audio on both sides of the convo- no static, loud enough, wind noise is cut out...pretty clear for earbuds ★★★★ App support - decent app. It covers all the basics. It's simple to use and has a nice user interface. There are more advanced manufacturer associated apps out there for other sets (such as Soundcore's app), but this one does everything you need. *Earfun is newer to the app scene compared to other guys, so I'm sure it's still a work in progress. It's absolutely better than some of the other apps I've used (such as Edifier and Soundpeats apps). The only issue (knit picking) is when u manually adjust the EQ frequency sliders, they will move up or down erratically at first until u get a hold of it and move it into position (hard to explain) - it's not a big deal. Also, the app wants u to sign up with email to register the warranty and have a login to access your app settings. However, I think you can bypass this if you want. Personally I like it - it gets the product registered and makes solving a warranty issue better and easier. ★★★★★❤️ Customer Service / Support I can personally say that I have had to use customer service to replace a set. Earfun was on top of the situation fast and sent me a replacement quickly Free of charge. I wanted to mention that - customer service goes a long way with me and I greatly appreciate it. To Earfun and all those involved --- Thank you very much. Exceptional Customer Service / Support. I decided to put this comment close to the end - as not to draw attention to it (instead of saying my thank you's first). Greatly appreciated 🙂 ★★★★ Comfort - for me, they are pretty comfortable. They come with various size ear tips. As I may have mentioned, stem style aren't my favorite style. So naturally I find other styles more comfortable - such as my FP2s that I've mentioned a million times by now. The FP2s are very comfortable btw.... I kind of sorta understand what another review said about a shallow fit. It's not a big issue with me. Its in line with other stem types I have - such as the Life P3's - about the same comfort level. Although the stock ear tips are decent, I may get another set (or 2) of Spinfit 360s. I currently have Spinfit 360s on my FP2s and couple other earbuds sets - such as my Engine 4's (these are the particular dual driver bud set that I really love for critical listening - Earfun, please make something like this --- pretty please-- I will buy them immediately) Btw - those aren't a direct competitor to these Air Pro 3s because they do not have noise cancelling, transparency, wireless charging, etc...not as many options on that set. ★★★★★. Connection - no issues. The signal works unimpeded throughout most of my small(ish) house - thru a few walls. Great range ***Multi-point works flawlessly between my phone and TV (or PC). Nice feature. Can keep an eye on the charge or take a call without interruption. No hassle here. ★★★★. Size - case is about average size for this style earbud. Not too bulky...it's not super compact either (super compact belongs to the FP2s- those are super duper compact). The Air Pro 3 case is still small enough to put in ur pocket and go around town with them. Its got a matte finish that's nice to feel and look at. The earbuds themselves are about the same size as other similar buds (such as the Life P3's). Not huge or tiny. And again - wireless charging (nice) ***They are fairly easy to take out of the case. They don't slip as much as others (talking to u Soundpeats) Then again, this stem style has an advantage. They rest in a horizontal position making them easier to pull out. Button style buds can be hard to grip...it's not completely their fault. Plus with those, u have to fight a tug of war battle with the magnets. Not such a problem with the Air Pro 3s. Anyway - I think I covered all the basics. If anything major occurs that would alter my review, I will try and remember to update. *Bottom line here - if ur in the market for full featured TWS earbuds, and don't want to pay a high premium price, but want premium quality - look no further. • These ear buds are just plain great.
Color: Black
After a couple of other wireless ear bud sets died of old age, I decided to find a replacement. As expected, I discovered dozens of choices here, of different levels of quality and opinions by previous buyers. I began looking at the EarFun offerings after reading a slew of positive reviews. I took a flyer on this Air Pro 3 model and I am very happy with my choice. The most important thing, of course, is how they sound. I had not purchased a new set of ear buds in a few years and you can tell the technology has come a long way when listening to these. The sound is detailed and crisp, with sufficient bass and crystal clear treble. As an older man, my hearing isn't as good as it was, but there's no mistaking how good these sound. I used them with a variety of music (rock, jazz, classical, country, etc.) and found everything to just sound terrific. EarFun also created a very nice mobile app for checking battery life and customizing settings. One of the settings is for an equalizer that will use pre-set configurations or will allow you to create your own customized sound environment. The battery life on these is extremely good, though I probably haven't stretched them to their limits. The small charging case appears to have a long battery life, and the ear buds themselves last many hourse and recharge quickly in the case. For me, the fit is very good. In addition to the installed ear tips, these EarFuns have three additional sets of different sizes. There's a nice touch there: the extra buds are housed in a small box and mounted on a card, which keeps them in place, instead of rolling all over. The EarFuns have a lot of features, so there's a bit of a learning curve with the on-board buttons used to change volume, songs or answer calls. You might have to play with the controls to get used to how they work, as they have a little touch sensitivity, especially in raising and lowering volume directly on the ear buds. Once you learn how they work, using them with the various functions is simple. I have one minor gripe with these: the ear buds are left-right specific and fit in the case a specific way for storage and charging. The letters "L" and "R" are etched on the bottom side of the devices, below the actual ear bud mount. The problem is that you can barely see the letters, so getting them in the right place (case or ears) might be a bit awkward. If the manufacturer can make one improvement on this model, making those letters a bit easier to read would be it. You could spend a whole lot of cash on some name brands of earbuds, but for the price and with the performance, these are a great value. ... show more
