The product includes two 12-1/16-inch lamp pipes which can be used as the foundational structure while making a lamp. The pipes are equipped for concealing the wiring as protection. The pipes are made with steel for durability. To avoid corrosion the product has been given a zinc plating, giving it a long lasting performance. Two normal Locknuts along with two additional knurled Locknuts are included for better grip. Two washers are also included to be used if necessary. All the components including the Locknuts- Knurled and normal- in addition to the washers, all are 1/8-IP comparable. All the components are a standard fit so that they can be used with any 1/8-IP compatible product without any hassle. The Pipes which are the main components are threaded for easy screw-in installation. The pipes conceal the electric wiring perfectly avoiding any dangers due to exposure caused by it in the long run. Compatibility with any 1/8-IP products and long-lasting factor due to zinc plating makes the product a perfect Replacement for worn or broken components. So I purchase this expecting to be able to turn a Chinese ginger jar into a lamp. Amazon is great - got the diamond drill bits, lamp shades, and this wiring kit. Lo and behold, when you are stumped because you can't find parts in the kit to finish the project, in the instructions, which are in tiny print, it states that the lamp nipple to connect the fixture to the ginger jar, bottle, driftwood, whatever, IS NOT INCLUDED! WHAT THE H*LL??!? What kind of kit is sold intentionally without the parts to complete a project? Got to order again or go to a store. Project delayed. Items came in a timely manner. Directions are not the greatest, but Google and You Tube are the best for finding videos and directions. Be sure to look up Underwriters Knot - this was a step I didn't have on the video I used and found it after the fact so I had to take my work apart and redo to be safe. This was my first time rewiring lamps and once you find good directions it is a pretty quick and easy job. So far the lamps are working great. I'm now going to move on to two more challenging lamps that I have. ... show more

I had an antique lamp that was in much need of new wiring and did NOT think I could do it myself... Cost at the lamp shop was WAY out of my Budget... I ordered the Two Pack by accident, but turned out that was a good thing... The other one went to moms to repair one of her favorite lamps that has not worked in years... I'm a ceramic teacher and we make lamps in our class. These are great kits and a great price. There a lot cheaper than buying each part alone. My only complaint is they are missing some of the hardware. But buying some extra small pieces is still cheaper.

I managed to get these together, which is an accomplishment considering I've never tried to DIY anything in my life. I used the kits to make lamps out of mason jars to put sea shells in. I did have a bit of a hiccup while trying to make these because the kits did not have the exiting nipples and had to go to a hardware store to get a set. The package clearly stated this though so it's not The company's fault that I cannot read. Overall they look awesome and it's so easy anyone could do it (considering I did). ... show more

I was having issues with the rotating switch on my old night stand lamp so I replaces all the socket parts as well as the power cord. This kit was exactly what I needed and worked out well and didn’t have to leave the house. Two days, had the parts and completed the small project.
