  • Absolutely perfect
Size: 80,000 BTUs
This heater is absolutely perfect. My garage is not insulated, when it was 10 degrees outside, this heater got my garage up to 80 degrees in a half hour and kept it there.I was hesitant to buy one of these for years because I didn't think it would keep up with no insulation, but I'm so glad I decided to get it,I can finally work comfortably in the garage no matter how cold it is outside. It does burn through kerosene pretty fast when set to higher temps,Temps, well worth it to stay warm. ... show more

  • Plenty of heat
Size: 80,000 BTUs
I went from a 55000 btu that struggled to heat a 400 square foot metal building to this 80000 btu heater. This sends heat all the way to the front of the garage. Using diesel fuel so it is a bit smelly in the garage so I have a small exhaust fan in the peak end of the building I run once the building is heated, it removes the smell but it will make the heater run more often. If the fan is not used it has 10 degree differential and gets cold before it starts again. Works well heating up the garage. Over all I’m very happy with this heater ... show more

  • 80Thousand btu Forced air heater
Size: 80,000 BTUs
The heater is used to heat a small shop building and it does a great job. It is easy to operate on several different fuels. I prefer diesel because it is cheaper and more easily available.

  • Cheap Heat
Size: 80,000 BTUs
Very good bang for the buck. This same basic heater is almost $55 more in local store. Fired right off with no problems. Would have given it 5 stars but the placement of the fuel fill opening wasn't the best. Should have been on the side so it would be more accessible. All in all, a really decent heater for a small area. ... show more

  • Recieved in good condition. Fuel gauge is a nice plus.
Size: 50,000 BTUs
I had problems trying to source one of these smaller forced air kerosene heaters. The sellers use the same image for the 50k btu as the 75-80 units. The bigger units usually only come with a thermostat and fuel gauge so the image is inaccurate. This heater is the 50k model with a fuel gauge which is worth having in my opinion. No sense taking the fuel cap off and trying to tell how much is left. A big advantage for a smaller heater that you will be carrying by hand and don't want to keep extra fuel in it. Works perfect right out of the box. The only thing that I would have liked was a sturdier carrying handle but it was not to be. Over all a solid buy and heater was in good condition when received. ... show more

  • Heats very well
Size: 80,000 BTUs
I have a large unheated garage and at 30 degrees outside this little thing will heat it to a comfortable level in 5 minutes. I set the thermostat to keep it above freezing, then turn it up when I'm in there for a while. Works very well.

  • Great heater but has a couple deficiencies. Still recommend.
Size: 135,000 BTUs
I've been using this heater for a week now and it works very well. Item came well packaged and was very simple to assemble. Pros: I have a 600sqft garage and on the 95k setting I can raise the garage temp from 30 degrees to 70 in 8-10 minutes. It is very forgiving on the fuel consumption . Have used about 3 gallons of the 10 in a week. Cons: The thermostat only allows you to set it in 10 degree increments. Sometimes 60 is a little cool and 70 is a little hot but 65 is not an option. After area reaches thermostat set temp heater shuts off as designed. Typically temp will drop somewhere around 8-10 degrees before heater turns back on. Makes it difficult to "maintain" a fairly consistent temp in work area. This was the reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars. UPDATE:12-8-17. Somewhere I had posted a problem with this heater not wanting to reignite and heat when the thermostat would engage the heater to fire up. Apparently it takes a woman's this king to figure out the why. If you use this heater in a fairly "air tight" area such as a garage the oxygen level may be one to low that the heater won't reignite on its own with out cracking a door or window. As it tries to ignite it sprays raw diesel out the jet onto the floor and after two or three attempts displays an error code. Providing a little fresh air the heater fires up immediately. LOVE THIS HEATER FOR MY GARAGE! Highly recommend! ... show more

  • PIECE OF JUNK !!!
Size: 80,000 BTUs
I ordered this heater to replace an older model of the same size. The heater was lost in transit somewhere and was not delivered to me (this part of my review has nothing to do with the one star rating) Amazon was excellent with their customer service and shipped another heater out with two day shipping. When the replacement heater arrived, I took it out of the box, screwed the handle on, filled it up with diesel and turned it on. The fan came on and the diesel fuel was shooting out of the heater all over my floor and made a big mess with no heat. I called Dyna Glows technical support number and the man I spoke with was very rude and it was hard to understand what he was saying. He told me to disassemble the heater and use a hair dryer to blow hot air in the heater by the igniter and nozzle. It's a brand new heater, My feeling is that it should work right out of the box and I shouldn't have to repair it. I did what he suggested, and cleaned up a lot of diesel fuel that was in the heater, and it worked. The output they claim is 80,000 BTU's and my old heater was rated at 75,000 BTU's My old heater warmed up my garage much faster than this new one. I like the built in thermostat and overall the heater is put together well, and not that I want to work on it, but it is easy to work on. If it would have worked straight out of the box, and didn't spray diesel fuel all over my floor I would have given it a better rating, but that with Dyna Glo's terrible customer service is going to keep me from ever buying another Dyna Glo product. Let's say I was to leave this heater plugged in, and trust the built in thermostat to turn it on when needed, would it come on or would I come out to a floor covered with diesel fuel? I have turned the heater on and off 12 times and 4 of the times it did not fire, only sprayed diesel fuel out again. The times it did not fire I would let it sit for 5 minutes and try again and it would work, but shoot out flames and diesel fuel for a couple of minutes then work normal. This heater is an accident waiting to happen. I'm not happy with this purchase and am stuck with it because you cannot send it back unless all of the fuel is out of it which impossible to do. They should include a fire extinguisher and mop with it. ... show more
