  • Addicting!
Model: 12966 Style: Machine + 3 tapes
I wasn’t sure how well this label maker was going to work out after reading a few neg reviews. So happy I ordered anyway, it types and prints out everything perfect, I originally got it for my new glass spice jars and it just adds that extra touch. Now I find myself looking for an excuse to label everything lol plus the price ($11.00) it’s basically a steal. ... show more

  • Fun
Model: 12966 Style: Machine + 3 tapes
It's exactly what it needs to be, and with a simple, cheap mechanism, it delivers you what it needs to be.

  • Works for what I needed.
Model: 12966 Style: Machine + 3 tapes
Took a little trial and error to figure out the cutting the end of a label. But a youtube video would be helpful. I don't understand why many products don't have a how to youtube link on how a product works etc.

  • Works as intended
Model: 12966 Style: Machine + 3 tapes
While yes, it does work, occasionally the cut button doesn’t work, or a letter won’t fully imprint. Aside from that everything works well and the results are the standard I assumed.

  • Easy to Use & Affordable
Model: 12966 Style: Machine + 3 tapes
Really like the price point of this label maker and how easy it is to use. It does take a little getting used to as it's manual, which also lends to a little more variability than something that prints. However, this doesn't bother me and I love that some of them end up looking unique. The adhesive is pretty good and only seems to diminish when exposed to lots of moisture (as most adhesives would). ... show more

  • Good Embossing Labeler
Model: 12966 Style: Machine + 3 tapes
This product does work well while embossing labels. On the downside, however, these do break or jam if used with high pressure or if pulling on the label whilst cutting. These things can break with ease if misused and are very very hard to repair. However, these labels come out nice in the end. They have a perforated tab on the end of the label for ease of peeling. I had to buy this (more than) twice because the first one broke after the first successful label (manufacturing defect - the mechanism was kind of deformed). Anyway, I recommend this product to you if you're looking for an embosser. -- TIPS -- On some of these embossers, you may need to do a space at the very end because the last letter on the label might be cut off or touching the edge depending on your embosser's slight variants. When the disks are not aligned properly, you cannot print labels correctly. Ensure they're aligned. If there are problems in the device please ensure that nothing is broken or deformed. -- UPDATES -- Dec 1, 2021: Well, something isn't quite right here. It looks like the cutter is not working anymore (still kind of perforating, but not cutting) but letters are still embossing. Had to MacGyver a fix by hot-gluing half of a razor blade to the top of the label feed to be able to cut new labels again. Because this fix is not ideal, I have decided to purchase yet another one of these labelers. Yes, the arrows were aligned properly, but it seems the internal cutter just became dull. Dec 3, 2021: New embosser just arrived. It seems to work pretty well right now. I'll keep you guys updated when something happens to the labeler. Dec 7, 2021: Okay, now both of them are jamming frequently, and one of them are not clicking upon squeezing the trigger. There isn't anything stuck (yes - I actually parted the entire device for inspection) inside the machine. The trigger's inner feed pull lever actually broke off. Hooray. I really liked this thing at first, but after lots of use, this thing will just, well, fail. You might as well just purchase a Rotex instead of this, just because these plastic paperweights are super cheaply made... Dec 9, 2021: Now it kind of works, but it jams sometimes, and the tape will get misaligned each cut, preventing the label from feeding. Jan 2, 2022: Bought a used embosser. Feb 16, 2022: That one's cutter dulled out but most of the letters still print. Feb 26, 2022: A couple letters were deformed on the lower disk causing it to not print these properly. Oh well. Mar 3, 2022: Okay, so for that embosser mentioned above, I had actually swapped out the lower disk on it with another one because of what all happened. Mar 19, 2022: I'm done with the aforementioned embosser tool. Bought a new one, however I have had good luck with the other one I have that never had a deformed lower disk. Mar 23, 2022: Currently we are having good luck with both of my existing embossers. They both are operational and work well. I'll let you know when one has a problem. • Great as a basic labeler
Model: 12966 Style: Machine + 3 tapes
This is a great basic labeler if you don't want to spend lots of money. You can make so many labels with just one roll of labeling tape. The tape itself is fairly sticky but requires some press-down time, and won't work on every surface but will stick to most (glass, plastic, paper, some fabrics). Sometimes cutting off a label section when you're done entering the letters can be awkward because it feels like the label gets stuck. You have to sometimes pull at the label to get it to cut off completely. If you just want a basic labeler that is low-fuss then this is it. ... show more

  • Nice-looking update of old tech
Model: 12966 Style: Machine + 3 tapes
I bought this for nostalgic reasons—my family had one I played with as a kid (an old orange one, or was it red and white… ? I forget) so seeing this brought back memories. I like the modern black/grey color way. Unfortunately, the 11 percent of one-star reviews worry me (I like to see 3 percent or lower) but this will only be used to label a few things now, and then my daughter can play with it. I have a 20+ year old Dymo Letratag, that’s still going strong, as my go-to label maker. ... show more
