I replaced 6 year old battery in Dell XPS 13 with DXGH8. Old battery lasted 45 minutes. The new one lasts so long I haven't figured out entire duration in last week of use but something over 6 hours I think. So far so good. I slightly messed up my "click" on touchpad but Youtube helped me learn how to realign that too. Very happy. ... show more

I bought this for my old Inspiron 1525. It works, and lasts longer than the 6 cell battery does. I expected better from past experience with a 9 cell in a 1525, but it lasts around 3 1/2 hours. The 6 cell lasts about 2 1/4. Once the battery is broke in better, I'm hoping it lasts a little longer. For the price, I've no complaints. Would I buy it again? I don't know yet. The mechanical hard disk has been replaced with an SSD, which uses less power. Soon the CPU will be replaced with a T9300, 2.5ghz CPU that is supposed to use be more powerful while using less energy. It doesn't have the original 45nm CPU in it, but has an older 65nm architecture CPU in it. After I put the newer CPU in, I'll update this if it does help. Meanwhile, the battery is still worthy of 4 stars, because it does last longer than the 6 cell. It, the SSD, and PCLinuxOS help me keep a 14 year old laptop running acceptably. ... show more

This battery was promising due to reviews it had. Simple to i stall and even came with a screwdriver. After installing it powered right on. Tried to let it go through a drain cycle and found it only charged to 23%. Swapped chargers, tested multiple connections and still didn't work. Upsetting.

Easy to install; holds a charge. In the past, I have tried 2 other suppliers of "original" Dell batteries only to have to return them because they wouldn't hold a charge any better than the old battery. This one works!
