  • Efficient easy to use cloths steamer
I had to live in a hotel for a month and a half while my house was under restoration. Having to live out of a suitcase made dealing with wrinkled clothes a pain. I’ll admit I’m not a fan of using an Iron and ironing board, but there are some differences to keep in mind. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: 1. Convenience: it was easy to use. Just fill with water, plug in, and turn on. I timed the warm up time, as i had doubts about the 45 second timing, but i was proven wrong. It took about 44 seconds. I don’t like using an iron and ironing board as they also take time to setup and take up storage space. 2. It works: I’m sure most of you have heard people say to just hang your clothes in the bathroom when you shower and the steam will reduce the wrinkles. This works with essentially the same principle. Steam reduces wrinkles. See the attached photos. My clothes were extremely wrinkled due to having to pack/unpack them. Neutral: 1. Size: It is a little bit bigger than expected. It’s slightly taller than a gallon jug. I have small hands but was able to use it just fine. 2. Tank size: the water tank is fairly small, due to the construction of the device. I was able to get about two (2) shirts or one (1) suit jacket on a full tank. Cons: 1. Not iron crisp: this is a given, but figured I’d mention it anyway. This won’t give you the crisp look that using a clothes iron will. This is more meant for convenience and dewrinkling. 2. Water requirements: it asks for distilled/clean water. This makes sense to preserve the machine life, but something to keep in mind. Notes: After some use, at least with mine, water condensation started making some water drip from the screen to the top of the hand hold (see picture). It wasn’t as hot as the steam, but did sting my hand when i didn’t notice it was there when using. Not a big issue, just be careful if you need to use it for extended use. Overall, if you wear suits, polos, dress pants, or button up shirts on a more regular basis, this might be something to consider adding to your clothing care arsenal. I didn’t use it every day, as i tend to hang up my clothes regularly so they wouldn’t wrinkle to begin with. It is nice to have on hand for occasional use. I haven’t tried using it on mattresses or anything like that, my use was extensively on clothes. For me it was worth getting, especially having to live out of a hotel for awhile. ... show more

  • Hand held steamer
I like the product. However there isn’t a clear indication or description of the fill line. Nothing on the well itself or in the product description as to where the fill line is located.

  • It does steam the wrinkles away
It works well. It’s easy to start using it. The water well is very small you have to refill quite often. If you have a large basket of clothes to iron, your arm gets tired but it is so much better than using a regular iron

  • Now i'm a believer. I see my regular steam iron going in storage indefinitely.
Long story short, this is my second handheld steamer, first one was a Black & Decker i got from my local Walmart around 2014-2015. That thing was a hot mess. The tank leaked unless standing completely upright, it was a nightmare to even put the tank on, it built up pressure that was released at once with hot drops of water, took a good 45+ seconds to get ready and overall the clothes ended up wet in spots, there was temperature dials, no "ready" indicators (you had to... count in your head), preparation was long and the whole process felt more difficult than it should, it's not that i ironed clothes that often but that's why i wanted a steamer back then, to streamline the process in a hanger, knowing that it'd be less "sharp" than regular ironing, but to take the wrinkling away. Come this Dupray Voila Handheld Unit: I am a believer. This steamer feels premium and it fixes every single one of my previous complaints about the B&D steamer i got back then. Today, simplicity while efficient is what makes a product desirable, and this steamer has it. The tank is easy to fill and put on the unit, IT DOESN'T LEAK, no matter the orientation your steamer is, upright, sideways, upside-down. It's a three step operation, fill tank, plug in, press the ON button and wait until it turns from amber to green in roughly 15 seconds, and Voila!, constant, even steam comes off the unit. The unit itself feels "heavier" than that B&D but it feels heavier in a way that tells you of its quality, it's more heft, density than significant weight and it tells you Dupray used materials to last. The cork insulation on the back is a nice, classy, yet functional addition that insulates your hand from the heating elements and it works and feels great. It's also worth nothing that i used it locally on a sweater spot to get rid of a smell in an area that air freshener oil bottle spilled and it got rid of that smell that had been there for months. Overall, this is an appliance that put my regular steam iron back in storage. Unless i need an extra sharp shirt or pants (and i don't think the worls is headed in that direction anymore) this will satisfy 99% of my garment needs, while being a streamline, faster process, i see it myself steaming my clothes more often. ... show more

  • Great the short while it lasts
I've purchased this steamer twice in the past 3 months. The first one stopped working with in the return window, but was so perfect while it lasted I decided to risk it and went with a replacement instead of refund. The second one only lasted about 40days then started making weird noises then stopped turning on at all. ... show more

  • This thing Rocks!!
this is very light, easy to use and heats up quick. I don't own an iron and don't need one. this is fast and simple. Makes my life easier. In addition I am very particular. I have used this on sheets on the bed to make the tops look nice. I also used it on the faux fur on the cat tree to freshen that up. When this one poops, I will buy another. ... show more

  • So, so Great!!
I used this when I traveled to my daughter's wedding- it provides even steam (no bursts of water droplets!), love the delicate fabric attachment. All the bridesmaids steamed their dresses after seeing me use this. I just fired it up again to steam an evening gown for this weekend! I also love that it is not made in China! GREAT PRODUCT!! ... show more
