As most here have said, when the fridge ice makers go, you need an alternative. I purchased this model and I'm pleased with it. It makes ice really quickly. I only use the large setting so that it keeps drinks cold longer. I wasn't sure about the "bullet" design but they have done the job well. One issue is that when the ice dumps into the bin it's slightly wet. The unit isn't designed to keep the ice it makes frozen, so you need to get it in the freezer right away. Even then when you go to get ice from the freezer it tends to freeze together and you need to break it up which can take a little effort. It's not a big problem and overall I'm happy with this model and would recommend it. ... show more

This makes great ice but it takes more then the 6 minutes stated in the ad. Plus the ice melts really fast on warm days if you don't move it to the freezer. I have it set to the larger ice size. This does work for what I needed it for. My fridge does not have an ice maker and I didn't want to keep buying ice. I just have to keep moving the ice into the freezer every 15 - 20 minutes. ADDITION: Also, ice is very wet on the surface when it's done so moving it to the freezer causes the ice to stick together. ... show more

Worked great. Only use filtered bottled water kept it clean but all the sudden it stopped working. Now it just blinks and shuts off no sound no ice.

Have had many of these counter ice makers over the years and some are junk. Even expensive ones are junk. This is one of those weird things where cheaper models are often the most reliable. They aren't crammed with dumb ideas but rather rely on intelligent design. Buy a cheap one that is self cleaning and clean it once a month. Use purified water. Easy. ... show more

This machine is really small--yes I looked at the dimensions but it is tiny. Works well, makes ice quickly, but is basically on every day to keep up with a house of two. Do not buy this is you are having a party or have more than 2 people in your house who use ice. It won't be able to keep up.
