  • OVER 50 PURCHASED SINCE 2014
Style: 3.5mm Jack Color: Blue
I have purchased over 50 of the symphonized 3.0 earbuds. So obviously I was an enthusiastic fan. Fanatic that is. I consider myself a music Aficionado and was a DJ for many many years and I'm very particular about my sound. I do not leave the house without my earbuds. And I mean not to the mailbox. Sympathized made a product that was exactly to my taste. I'm more interested in crisp highs as opposed to booming bass. My 10 band equalizer, of course adjusted according to sound quality of audiophile, is exactly where I want it to be each song, every time. However lately, symphonized quality is not what it used to be. When I contacted the company over a faulty pair that began clipping in and out of the Left Channel earbud they sent me a replacement. I explained to them that on a very limited budget I have already purchased 50 of their 3.0 NRG earbuds and maybe they could send me something as a sort of "thank you" gift such as maybe a t-shirt or an extra case, bumper sticker, Etc. The representative told me she would talk to that department and let me know . They sent me the replacement minus the extra tips which are essential for good sound quality. And the bonus gift was a defective pair of symphonized earbuds, obviously for the female race with little rhinestones and purple that were completely defective The company is just not what it used to be. The cable used to be right angled, which I did not like initially however it was a much thicker right angled tip as opposed to now where it is a straight tip but not quite as thick and grounded. I have subsequently bought the last two or three pair in blue and the speaker on one side inevitably blue over moderate sound without overwhelming base of course Within weeks. Highly disappointed and highly discouraged as I don't have another brand to turn to. This brand was Notorious for being clear and crisp. A sound that only wooddefective AND obviously USED. These earbuds have always been exceptionally Well crafted and attractive and certainly worth the price, not to mention could take a beating as I wear them everywhere and I'm pretty aggressive with them However, for whatever reason, they're nowhere near what they used to be. For me the sound quality is the best of any earbud under $50 and better than most earbuds up to $150 . So I keep the working pair that I have with the hopes of finding another affordable brand that are comparable with what Symphonized USED to be (unfortunately 🥴) ... show more

  • Amazing Sound For Budget Earbuds
I recently wrote a review for the previous generation, the NRG 3.0s as I accidentally bought those instead of these again, so the following review is basically the same comparison review I did on that product page. I'll compare them to the NRG 3.0 earbuds. Song used to compare: Distance by Apashe, a classical and edm mixed song which provided excellent mix of sounds from highs to lows. SOUND: The NRG X's sound very balanced. The bass does not muddy the highs and the highs and mids are crisp. The bass, depending on what earbud fitting is used, can hit hard and is clear. Vocals are brought more to the front. The 3.0s on the other hand are bass heavy and not necessarily the good kind of bass. The sound is muddy and although you can hear the highs, I could immediately tell they weren't hitting as high as the NRG X could. Vocals weren't as clear as I hoped they would be. The volume did sound louder than the NRG X's but it could be that my pair needs replacement since one bud is not working. Overall, the X's just sound better in every way. BUILD QUALITY: Both the 3.0 and the X have similar build quality. The cases for both are the same and are nice and sturdy but does soften up over time and usage.. One physical difference between the X's and 3.0s is that the X's have the inserts angled while the 3.0s have them straight inline with the housing. The the angled inserts make it easier to tell which side is left and right without having to read the markings or rely on the volume/mike to differentiate left from right. The X's lasted over a year before one side died due to a bit of rough usage while I can't comment on long-term usage of the 3.0s but I'd wager it'd be about the same. COST: The 3.0's and the X's pretty much are the same price at about $25 before taxes. COMFORT: Both the 3.0 and X are comfortable in the ears. As long as the wire doesn't swing and rub often, there isn't any noise traveling up. Both of them do get yanked out of the ears if the wire is caught, but we all know that is something that can happen with wired earbuds. The length of the wire is a bit long than I like, so they do get caught on corners a bit more often than I'm comfortable. I'd give the X's the slight edge here due to its angled inserts that don't press the housing up against the ear. Both block outside noise pretty well, especially when seated in right and playing music. FINAL THOUGHTS: Between the 3.0's and the X's, I have to give the win to the X's due to it's more balanced amd crisper sound and marginally better comfort. Given that the cost is pretty much the same, I recommend you skip the 3.0s altogether and get the X's. For the price, the NRG 3.0 are lacking while the NRG X improves on the sound immensely for budget earbuds. As such, I'll be returning the 3.0s and getting the NRG X's again and potentially the Jabra Elite T75 wireless earbuds for the premium sound and wireless comfort. ... show more
