So I’ve had the opportunity to test this unit along with a no name Amazon $25 unit as well as kingbolens more portable Bluetooth module that runs off an app on the phone This module has the ability to clear check engine lights as well as a lot of codes but it won’t clear absolutely everything. The items it can’t clear aren’t necessarily things people need to clear all the time though. You can refer to the list comparison between this unit and higher tier models for a comparison on fault code clearing Speed wise this is much faster than the Bluetooth module but of course the Bluetooth module gets much more portability in return. When equipped with wifi you can access a lot of information on your fault codes in real time so that’s very helpful I’ve had the opportunity to use this on: Infiniti g37 Nissan 350z Acura rlx Acura rdx Honda crv Performance was consistent with every car. As a bonus the module will charge itself when plugged into a port so that’s pretty cool Overall I’d recommend this for the guy who likes to work on stuff at home. The price is competitive considering how much comes with it. The Bluetooth module is priced similarly but that’s something I’d recommend moreso as a keep it in the car just in case tool. ... show more

Was buying it for my 4 vehicles (2 Hondas, 1 Nissan and 1 Porsche). With the exception of the Porsche, it worked really well on the other 3 vehicles. The reason it doesn’t work with Porsche vehicles is the shape of the connecting port is ever so slightly different than the Normal port used on the Kingbolen scanner. I sent an email to Kingbolen but they never acknowledged anything and never communicated back anything. Not what consumers want to hear… Kingbolen…well you suck on that point. Just out of curiosity, I tried it on friends cars and can confirm the following: Works well on 2006 Ford F-150, 2001 Dodge Caravan. DID NOT work on a 2001 Ford Escape V6. On the vehicles it works on, it is a potent tool. I am still learning the ins and outs of this scanner, but on a vehicle that it does support, it blows my mind at what it can do. ... show more

Bought the item to pin point the several lights my dashboard has on. Unfortunately the tool only pointed out a basic issue, low tire pressure. Requested a refund ad item does not work as mentioned.

This scanner was easy to use right out of the box. I connected it to my wifi and performed system updated and vehicle specific updates for the Toyotas I work on. It’s easy to navigate the menus and find your way around. The auto search works great, the diagnostic tools are in-depth. It shows you live data feed from basically every sensor. This will be a very useful scanner in my shop. When the vehicle is not compatible with certain features the unit guides to a screen that helps you do the function manually, like resetting oil maint light. If I had one negative to say it would be that the screens load somewhat slowly, but that’s a small price to pay when you compare this scanners price to other expensive scanners out there.
