Easy setup. Puts out lots of heat! Solid, heavy logs which hold heat after the fire goes out which is nice. The remote is great! Not common on units in this price range. It has on/off and a built in thermostat. I set it to 70 degrees, place the remote across the room and it automatically keeps it in that temp range. The logs are an issue when first setting up. They aren't numbered and the pics are not very helpful for placement. It's like a puzzle. Have fun. They also put off an odor for the first few hours. After that, they are beautiful and the amber padding and small rocks included add a great ambiance. I purchased a universal gas appliance connection kit which is a good idea since it doesn't come with a lot of connectors. I can't believe this was under four hundred dollars. Ordered these gas logs Nov. of 2022. One of the logs was broke on arrival, but that didnt affect anything. They worked perfect for about a month and then the pilot started going out daily. The following February I contacted CS and they said to return them. After boxing everything up it took about 4 months to get some different ones back (without remote). It took another 3 months and about 6 emails and 2 calls to get our remote back. We used the "new" ones for a couple weeks without issue for the remaining bit of winter. This winter the logs worked okay for about a week and I'm getting the same pilot light issues. We basically have to relight it every time we want to use the logs. I would advise against these logs and if you do send them back do not send your remote. ... show more

I installed the 30” kit into a wood-burning fireplace. Install was straightforward, I tied it into an existing propane line for my outdoor fire pit. Pros: -Gives off good heat. -Looks good in my fireplace. -No more chopping wood. Cons: -Only log #7 was labeled, so I had to figure out which went where. -The igniter and gas valve are not easy to get to. We shut off gas every night, but this wouldn’t be a big issue if you keep the pilot lit. -No more wood-chopping workout. ... show more

Works great I keep it on about half power. Remote works well . Had it a year now great to warm up the place in the morning. I use a 5 gal propane tank and it last a good amount of time running it 30 min in the morning and a hour at night.

The media could not be loaded. Realistic-looking fire, easily installed, puts out fair amount of heat, difficult to ignite initially, and slightly annoying hissing sound from the natural gas. Love the remote feature; set the desired temperature and it will cycle on and off. Worth the money.

The media could not be loaded. For what you gain in affordability you lose in patience. The remote module for this unit is very bad and hinders you from getting the fire in the first place. I spend anywhere from 4-35 minutes trying to get the pilot light started on this unit. It is completely inconsistent and very frustrating when you’re trying to get it to work in a cold room. Would not recommend this product, I would suggest just getting a well known quality brand. ... show more
