It didn't come with any of the required hardware so we had to do a run to the store to pick up what we needed, but I wanted something that would block the direct sun from coming in my back picture window and frying my house plants (normally I have to move them elsewhere in the house during the hot months) and so far, it appears to be working perfectly and I love the tan shade for allowing light to still come in without the harmful UV lighting.
