  • Great stuff but you really have to work to get the backing to separate.
I almost returned this as getting the protective backing to separate was a real chore! I thought they had sent me the wrong item. But it does work well when you finally get the protective sheet to separate. Some written instructions would have certainly been appreciated.

  • Great for odd uses.
I bought this tape to cover the edge of a cheap rug so it wouldn't drop threads all over the place. It has stuck quite nicely and has not come off. Even after my dog vomited on the rug and I had to wash it off in the bath tub, the tape still didn't come off. But it is easy to remove from other surfaces. For example, I use it to cover the webcam of my work computer. But on those rare occasions when I need to appear on camera, the tape peels right off. Also during a kitchen renovation project I had to tape an extension cord to the wall for several days. The tape held the cord for as long as I needed it, and then it peeled right off without damaging the wall or leaving behind residue. ... show more

  • Great for keeping cats off and away from things!
Our Maine Coon is a jumper; he will try to get on any table, counter, or surface he thinks he can reach. We don't like him on the kitchen counters, so we put this tape on the edges of the counters where we knew he was jumping up. Using two rows of this tape on the "access" areas of the counter successfully prevented him from jumping up! The first night we applied this to the counters, we noticed his furry paw prints on the tape, and we haven't seen his prints on the tape since. I confirmed he longer jumped up reviewing footage from our network security camera in the area, too. After about 3-5 months, the tape eventually loses its stickiness due to dust, people touching it, and other environmental factors. We simply peel the old tape off and reapply. A tip for those who want to try this method: lay down the tape without taking off the blue lining, cut at the desired length, then peel off the blue lining to reveal the exposed sticky side of the tape. I also recommend buying 2+ rolls of this, as the thickness of the tape reduces the total length of the roll compared to normal, single-sided duct tape or standard tape. You'll especially want to order more if you want to keep your tape fresh and looking nice (in the kitchen, food and stains would get on the tape making the tape look yuck). • HORRIBLE BACKING RELEASE!! SAVE YOUR MONEY
Dear lord please DO NOT ever buy this tape! as good as their regular duct tape is, this is the complete opposite. I think the backing on this adheres to the tape BETTER than the tape adheres to the surface. It is impossible to pull the backing off the tape once a piece is attached where you want it. I also used two different rolls. I had roll that I thought was old because it was having the same issues. So I bought another roll and the same thing happens. This tape is garbage and to late to return the 2nd roll. Both in the garbage now. ... show more

  • Super Sticky
This tape is super sticky with paper products. Adheres very well to poster board but getting the blue side off is soooo difficult. It does not lift from the edges easily and i have to fight with each and every piece to get to both sticky sides. I'm nit sure if it got to hot while in transit and melted but I'll stick with the Gorilla Glue brand instead. ... show more

  • Holds well with no residue
I use double-sided tape for my CNC projects. I bought this to try out because I needed a thinner type of tape than I had been using. This tape is beautiful for what I'm doing. I primarily work with wood and most double sided tape, though holds really good, also releases harshly and has a high chance of tearing the wood or leaving unwanted marks or glue. The first time I tried this I was worried because it seemed it wasn't sticking well enough and my piece was going to move in the machine. That was a simple fix once I quit using it like my old tape. I just needed to be sure to apply even pressure, kind of like I needed to activate it and remove the tiny bubbles so it would stick better. It reminds me of a product I used for vinyl that moved and released really well because of a similar feature of tiny air pockets. So I was able to move the tape in place easily and once I pressed on it by just running my thumb along it it was holding very well. I haven't had a piece move yet and every time I'm done and peel it off there's little to no residue. ... show more

  • GREAT STUFF! Rip it by hand!
I love this stuff, been using it for years. Excellent adhesion, more resistant to curing/weather/temps/UV than most other tapes. It can be difficult to remove the liner if you cut the tape lengths with a knife or scissors, but if you RIP IT BY HAND, you'll stretch the tape/liner and make it significantly easier to use. I plan the lengths and add a little extra, rip by hand, apply the tape with liner still on, smooth, remove the liner from the stretched corner, cut excess with a razor, and then work the other part on. It may sound excessive or difficult, but it's so much easier to have my tape hold up for years than it is to deal with re-applying regularly. ... show more
