  • Blown away!
Color: Black
I love this wet dry vacuum! I had my doubts that it would be better than any of the other floor cleaning tools I've used in the past, including: A popular brand name wet dry floor cleaner with 4 rotating brushes, a steam cleaner, and the squirt the solution and disposable mop pads that you can get at your supermarket and see advertised on TV. I'm not a slob, but there are times when mopping the kitchen floor gets pushed further down the to-do list. I'm a little embarrassed to admit there were times that the section of floor where I just wiped up a spill was now the cleanest part of the floor. After using this cleaning machine my kitchen floor has not looked this nice since it was new. It sounds like an exaggeration, but there were colors I forgot existed in the tile pattern. I spilled some water on the floor after cleaning it with this tool and wiped it up with a paper towel and was shocked to see it came up bright white with clear water on it. Before the machine I would wipe up water immediately after mopping, using one of the methods mentioned above, and the paper towel would be nearly clean - maybe a little gray. Now it came up immaculate without a speck of dirt or discoloration. Speaking of gray, the waste water tank after cleaning my wooden, tile, and linoleum floors was dark gray for all of them. I thought I had a clean house, but this thing found and grabbed all the filth and grime. I am in the process of re-waxing my wood floors because this got them so clean it seems the best time to do it. I unpacked this tool and found it very easy to assemble and use. The directions are clear and useful. The machine is well built - not "plasticy" - a substantial piece of equipment without being too heavy to lift or use. I was pleasantly surprised when she talked to me, and also relieved I can turn that feature off when the novelty wears off. It comes with a bottle of the cleaning solution, although the description did not list it. It uses very little solution per tank full of fresh water and the tank cleans a fairly large area depending on how many times you go over the same spot. There were a few places where I needed to go over a spot - dried pizza sauce, etc. - 2 or 3 times, but rarely. If you go from Auto mode to Turbo mode, hang on because she will take off. I found Auto mode worked on all but the worst areas. The self cleaning is not a gimmick, it actually works. There is an extra roller as well. The air drying is not too loud but takes quite a while - at least half an hour. My only regret is I did not get one of these sooner. I'm moving the steamer and brushing thing into storage and this dreaeme h12S is taking their place. ... show more

  • Makes hard floor cleaning so much easier.
Color: Black
So I'll preface this by saying this is my first experience using a mop type vacuum. I've used stick and canister types as well as upright (various brand, with Miele easily being the best), shop vacuums, and the good old standard mop for hardwood when it needs a more thorough cleaning. And if you're anything like me, the old mop and bucket scenario is something I dread. It's inefficient, disgusting, and annoying. In comes this Dreame mop vacuum. It's got a bit of weight to it, which feels more like quality than just waste. It has a docking station similar to robotic vacuums where you charge it and place extra accessories. It's a nice little all in one spot. The mop head is easy to detach using a small side clip that almost feels magnetic, and the wheels are smooth and glide easily (plus it self propels which is nice with a heavier unit). When you turn it on, you'll be a bit taken aback. It talks to you. A lot. Every mode switch, when it needs more water, when the dirty water is full, when cleaning and drying...and as far as I can tell it can't be turned off or have the volume lowered. In a house with little kids that need sleep and naps, that's an annoying feature. Regular mode is not too loud, but turbo mode is quite loud. I suppose that's expected, given it's a turbo mode and all. Filling the water reservoir is very easy, as everything is a simple click button to disconnect, including the dirty water tank. I tested it by cleaning my hardwood bamboo floors using turbo mode. I used water only and did not add the included cleaning agent. For 250 square feet I had to fill and empty each reservoir 3 times total. I was shocked to say the least. My floors looked clean, but clearly were not. I attached pictures of the first full dirty canister. It was horrifying how much dirtn this vacuum picked up from a seemingly clean floor. It made me realize how much a traditional mop leaves behind, especially as you're not consistently using clean water as you go along. After finishing my floor and hating what this vacuum showed me for a while, I placed it in the dock and hit the one button clean mode. It once again announced its plans and began cleaning the brush with water. This process is pretty loud, and requires a over 20% battery life as it will not charge while performing cleaning and drying even when docked. After it finished, it immediately went into drying mode. This mode isn't as loud but still loud enough for me not to want to do it with the kids asleep. It takes quite a while to dry, so make sure you're truly done using it before you decide to go this route. Once it's done it begins changing. I felt the roller after the dry cycle and it felt fluffy and very dry, so it worked as expected. So overall I'm very happy with this vacuum. It does a marvelous job at its primary function, which is cleaning hard surfaces. I didn't try this on tile yet to see how well it gets into the grout. The edge that gets close to the wall is very nice as well. My only qualms are the talking aspect can't be volume adjusted or turned off and that the rollers are seemingly proprietary. I'm not a fan of manufacturers that use proprietary goods, as you end up left in the dark if they stop producing such important parts. Also the battery doesn't appear removable, which means when it dies so does the vacuum. Anything with non replaceable batteries is not helping the environment, so I wanted to note that for the environmentally conscious. ... show more

  • Nice unit
Color: Black
First this unit is for only tile and hardwood floors, will not work on carpets. That being said, All of our rooms are either hardwood or tile. This does a super job, pretty much what you would do damp mopping the floor. but in about 1/5 the time. The unit moves easily and smoothly - with a slight forward tug to it. Reasonable quiet. Voice prompts tell you every time you enter a different mode, very handy. Battery life: I have not drained the whole battery yet, but based on how much battery I used (there is a constant battery % indicator showing) I am going to guessestimate about 40 minutes per charge. I was impressed by the cleaning ability, when I came to a dried crusty spot on my kitchen floor, one quick pass did not do it, but turbo mode and a little slower cleaned it immediately. It does leave the floor very slightly damp. Dries very quickly. Once done and you put it back in the cradle it goes thru a self cleaning mode, then a roller drying mode. Not unusually heavy, my scales says less than 15 lbs with about half full of water. For most people that should be no problem carrying up stairs. The right side has basically a zero edge to it, you can get right up to a wall. The only drawback is one all of these machines would have, can't get into small nooks and crannies. Simply put, the more hardwood/tile flooring you have the more you need this unit. ... show more
