It was NOT easy to put together. You definitely need an extra set of hands to help hold pieces into place. But my kids love it. It’s their second night sleeping on it and it holding up very sturdy. They are comfortable. I ordered 5 inch twin size mattresses to put on them and maybe it’s the brand of mattress I used but they do not fit all the way. So definitely make sure to check measurements for mattresses and the frame. ... show more

UPDATE: id give 0 stars if i could. Invest in better quality. Instructions are BS, no written instructions, pictures instructions are INACCURATE. took us 4+ hours to not even be able to complete it. Material is POOR quality, some wood was chipped. Holes were not properly drilled. Note to self, BELIEVE the bad reviews. i really wanted these to work, extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. 1 Star until assembled. Trying to be optimistic. Definitely had mixed emotions making this purchase after reading the reviews, not many for the exact items i purchased; but we shall see. From missing pieces to broken/discolored parts. I started this review since it just Shipped. I will add an Update with Photos once they have arrived and been assembled. Im hoping they work out for us, because my 4 & 5 year old share a room and these would be a major space savor! and + they have been looking forward to there “Big Boy” Beds! ... show more

    • Cute and Sturdy. Difficult to Assemble.

First, yes, it’s cute. Looks as pictured. Second, it’s sturdy and well made (so far). BUT it was a nightmare to assemble. Probably took my husband and I 3-5 hours including some interruptions from kiddos. Each individual slat in the head and footboards had to be assembled. And the fit isn’t snug, so they rattle around. We didn’t figure that part out until we had two already assembled, so we ended up putting a little wood glue in the slat slots for the remaining two and the rattling was significantly less of an issue. Next, the directions were blatantly incorrect for multiple sections and we struggled to ensure we were actually assembling the bed properly. We were operating on vibes alone for a good chunk of this process and just hoping it all came together haha. Some pieces had extra unexplained holes which take away from the aesthetic of the finished product, but all in all, we are pleased for the price. ... show more

We bought this bed for our toddler girls who don’t quite fit in the crib sized mattress beds anymore. It’s not as sturdy as I would like, & the wood is very cheap. If you screw a screw too tight, it cracks the wood. However, the instructions were easy to follow & it is an overall good bed to last until you find a better one. We also really enjoy the lowness of the bottom bunk, it’s flush to the ground so we don’t have to worry about anyone falling off that one. If you’re tall enough, you can easily reach the top bunk too standing up. It’s a perfect bed for small kids/toddlers but I wouldn’t do this for teenage sized kids. ... show more

Update 1.5 years after purchase: It broke 2 places in the middle wooden stick. It got cracks basically since we got it and we tried to put metal over the cracks to hold it together for longer. Our kids never play in the bed. My 6 year old is light weight (40lbs). I was such a waste of money. DO NOT BUY. Originally review: I choose the bed because it’s on the floor and have railings in the end! Pros: It has a great height. Straight forward to assemble (though a bit time consuming). Was a one woman job. You can place the ladder in both ends. The ladder is friendly for the feet. Can turn into two beds. Great height between the two beds. Cons: Painting is chipping off easily. It seems a bit wobbly and I don’t trust the kids playing in the upper bed. It is a bit too wide for a twin mattress to fill out, so there is an inch room in upper bed and around 1.5 inch room for lower bed, between the mattress and wall/railing. We are keeping it and makes it more sturdy ourself. Too difficult to return after assembling it. Would not recommend, unless able to make it more sturdy your self. ... show more
