I used this bit to route a grove in my miter saw bench so that I could flush mount some t track. The up cut worked great at removing the material with no tear out. It the laminate and the MDF perfect. Highly recommend.

I've got a number of 1/4 inch end mills, but even though my CNC spindle supports 1/2 inch this will be my first of this size. I know a lot of CNC veterans won't bat an eye at using at this, but for me it kind of feels like being called up to the major leagues from a farm team. This is a well made and nicely sharpened bit which should remove a lot of material quickly. I do wish the plastic storage case it comes with was labeled, but other than that I highly recommend this to anyone whose machine can accommodate a 1/2 inch bit. It came packaged in a plastic tube so it's protected during shipping. I've had a few from other sellers that were just in bubble wrap so it was already a plus from me. This bit looks like it was made really well and the nano coating is strong. It's super sharp and stayed that way after use. I made a few rabbets in some plywood and had absolutely no tear out (bonus of a compression bit)! This is a great bit and you get a great value for the price!
