This thing is like wearing a fake Rolex. Easy to spot how cheap it is, feels like a nice unit if you're not paying attention but if you look closely at it the image just falls apart. Everything from the startup is cheap. When you power the thing up it has a little loading screen that looks like some 2002 windows program. And then you get smacked with a terrible static sound at whatever volume you turned your car off at except you know how piercing that static sound is. Despite the fact that it's 2023 and nobody including me uses anything but the Bluetooth feature, this thing defaults to the antenna with whatever awful music is being recycled for the 10th year in a row 10 times a day everyday. Also I didn't feel like waiting a month to get the stupid adapter and the one at the auto parts store literally came with nothing but the four power cables hooked onto it so I returned that thing and it costed 30 bucks anyway. The one on Amazon was $7 and exactly what I needed but I had to spend like $40 to get it for free shipping or else I'd spend 20 bucks just to get the thing delivered in a week. Screw that I cut the stock harness off and soldered the wires directly to the two harnesses if this thing comes with. Well at least I have sound coming from my rear speakers still have to figure out why the door speakers aren't working yet. Probably because every diagram on the internet says something different about what this car wiring leads to so I'll just have to pull the damn door panels off and look for myself. Anyway yeah if you're poor this is great if you're looking for a radio for your peter or your work truck this is great if you want something nice to replace the awful CD player with no Bluetooth capability that came in your 2018 vehicle that feels like it was made in the 60s, this probably isn't the radio for you. If you care about quality that's probably isn't for you either. I mean it sounds decent to my I'm trying dares but I haven't had music or a radio or speaker or anything for months now so I wouldn't know. All I hear is the music playing on the loud speaker in the grocery store I get stuck in my head for a week even though it's absolutely garbage. My 07 f150 got the upgrade of a lifetime and for a decent price. Wanted a Bluetooth system that was affordable and I got a touchscreen and Bluetooth double din for 40$. I just wanted to have my phone play my podcasts the moment I turned on the truck or have my Amazon music. I work construction so my truck gets messy and dinged up alot. Forn40$ I don't feel bad when I'm eating lunch driving to the job site and tapping buttons. It's cheap it works and again it's for my work truck. If someone steals it that's fine I have more experience tools in there id be more upset about. Did I mention it's Bluetooth!! And touchscreen ... show more

Started out as an OK cheap option but started to find problems over time. 1. It's doesn't actually support android / apple car play. It uses an uncertified app to mirror your phone which only works on android phones if you enable debugging mode. It does not work on newer iphones. 2. It's radio reception is not that good. 3. The sdcard slot doesn't always work. 4. The unit started to randomly lose it's settings. 5. And the most recent the backlighting went out so I can barely see the interface. There are better one and better supported ones for $50 more. $100 may sound like a lot but compared to what you waste with this unit, it's worth saving up the additional $50 to get a better unit. Udpate 12/11/2022 - I reduced the star rating to a 3 as I have come to find the radio reception is poor on these units. Even local stations keeps cutting out while driving around. If you are looking for a fancy but cheap touchscreen car radio, this is for you. The touchscreen is responsive. The sound is really good and better than a lot of the Brand name cheap radios. It's default setting can get nice and loud. Audio settings allows for dynamic location adjustment with a grid and dot to move where you want the sound in real time. It has a Loud setting which doubles the sound output loudness with a good tone for those with more premium speakers. It has hands free bluetooth phone calling. I didn't install the included external MIC as it has one on the player which worked really well. I made some calls while driving and the other side stated they could hear me fine. The phone calls plays through the speakers and sound clear. Micro SD slot is a nice touch that you can fill with MP3's or movies. Both worked well on the device. Backup camera was clear and a nice touch; however, I was only able to test it as the provided cable was not long enough to run to the rear of my vehicle. Those with midsize and larger vehicles may have the same problem. Provided instructions just go over the basics. It does not explain how to connect your phone to your car for the "android auto" or "apply car play". I had to search the internet for the model to get instructions. For new versions of IOS, this unit does not support your phone. For Android users who have work phones that are company controlled, this may not work for your phone. In order to connect your phone and mirror it to the unit it requires you to install an uncertified apk file outside of the play store. It also requires that you turn on USB debugging. These are both huge security issues and not worth the risk. I downloaded and tried every Hi-Link style app on Google play store and none would work with this unit. If you really want Android auto/Apple car play invest a little more in a unit that actually supports those and not using some work around to make it seem like it does. Steering wheel controls didn't work. They also don't provide instructions on how to even work that in the settings. Found instructions on the internet searching the model. No matter what I did, I couldn't get them to work so I just disconnected the wire. So why 4 stars? Because for it's current cost it's still a great unit and still better than cheaper non touch screen radios. If they raise the cost, you can start subtracting stars for every $10 increase. ... show more

I got this radio as a gift for my father Pontiac Vibe 2005. It was installed by a professional. We just missed a filler for the sides so we got it separately. Other than that radio worked perfectly. In brackets did not worked for this car so we used the old radio ones. Camera definition is not that good but works as my father said. 3 stars only because the brackets, fillers and poor camera definition also control and mirror did not worked. ... show more

The only good thing about this device is that it works decently as a music device with Bluetooth connection to my phone. It is abysmal as a hands-free phone connection, the backup cam is so poor it is useless, the mike is crap, and the interface cumbersome and designed by preschoolers. It's not worth even the $35 I paid for it. But then again, what can you expect at this price point other than unfulfilled promises? ... show more
