  • Easy to use, low current
Color: 5 Pcs
Handy little prebuilt boost converter boards, useful for converting a standard DC voltage (e.g. 5V USB, 9V battery) to something application-specific. Easy to use, just solder the Vin/Vout wires to the board, apply the Vin, put a meter on the Vout, and turn the potentiometer until you get the voltage you want. Main con: it really can't drive much current (the "2A" in the title is either not referring to current or very inaccurate). I was trying to use it to flip a 12V solenoid valve with a 9V battery and it couldn't deliver the required couple of hundred mA to do the job. I'd guess the actual output current limit is probably below 100mA, although I haven't tested. Still useful for lots of low-current applications (LEDs, electronics, that kind of stuff) and I'm sure I'll find stuff to do with the five I bought. Just plan on buying something a little beefier/expensive if your application needs any appreciable current. ... show more

  • Works great…..if you use it for the correct application
Color: 10 Pcs
For my application it works just as expected. For all you whinners and complainers,…… do a little math before you buy this. For example, in my application I have a 20 volt input and need 24 volts out at up to 350mA load current ( 1.2mhz ripple is tolerable since its for a string of visible LEDs.) The duty factor in this boost config is about 24% and the efficiency at 350 mA is approx 90%, so total power dissipation on the diode and inductor is about 0.5 watts. You might want to google “ boost conguration power calculations” before you purchase something like this and start a fire on your table. Also, these are not 0,55 inches in height, more like half of that or 0.25 inches Caveat Emptor ( buyer beware) ... show more

  • if you know what this product does then this is jellybean stock
Color: 10 Pcs
Buck converters are jelly bean now, If you prototype like i do, keep a stock, cheap and assumes you add your own filters. This is not ment for audio.

  • Cheap and working fine
Color: 10 Pcs
I used it to convert 5V to 12V. My Current requirement for 12V is small (~100mA). I checked out the board efficiency before I used. I pulled 120mA from the output(12V). Input at 5V consume 330mA. It is 87% efficiency. It is not bad. I don't feel any heat coming from the board. I found out that the output is a bit noisy. I have to add more bypass cap (22uF+0.1uF). I also faced a weird problem at the beginning. It was shipped with POT turned to lowest output value. It took several turn of the POT to start rising the output. I was thinking that there were something wrong with the board. ... show more

  • They work flawless!!
Color: 10 Pcs
I just needed a tiny boost as my solar panel is pulling in 5.08v when I need at minimum 5.25v. These will work. So tiny and cute little things but woahhhh these things are like scrappy doo!! Only thing is watch what you are doing!! The Vin and Vout is on the opposite sides of what you would expect.

  • Steps up DC voltage... after some trial and error
Color: 10 Pcs
I needed this for a cosplay project. Needed to go from 3.7VDC to 12VDC. I wired up my project and put my meter on the output side of the board and started turning the trim pot... Nothing. Was about to wire up another and found some literature online that said to turn counterclockwise (CCW) and apply force while turning. That did the TRICK! Would have been nice if units came with instructions on what to expect and which way to turn the dial. ... show more

  • gets the job done, but low current handling
Color: 10 Pcs
I tried to use this for a 12v source for a cable modem, but it just can't deliver the juice, the current draw of the modem has a spike of about 600ma then it settles around 400, so based on the specs, this should be fine, but it fails to power it up, and it makes quite a racket with a 4mhz frequency noise, and quite a bit of voltage drop. I'd only recommend using this to power things that are 400ma or below, and less if higher voltage. It gets very hot and I didn't see any sort of over heat protection on it. It's probably fine for using as a trickle charger for a battery, but I'd get one that has a working over heat protection. ... show more

  • Works great 12v COD Leds
Color: 10 Pcs
At first in connecting them nothing happen but you have to have a volt meter to check how much voltage is coming out and than u can set the voltage to ur liking and you have to turn counter clock to boost the voltage up
