This is advertised as a nest transformer. It seemed to match the type required for our nest. We seemed to have it hooked up properly. However it began to smoke and we had to disconnect it! Be very careful! Now I’m outside of return window and stuck with this thing.

Bought this to repair a family member's doorbell that hadn't worked in a long time, so that I could then install a video doorbell that she'd received for Christmas. Installation was straightforward, and the doorbell (both existing and new) have worked well since I replaced the transformer. If you're installing a Ring/Eufy/Nest-type of video doorbell system, you may need the extra VA (volt-amp) capacity that a transformer like this provides. ... show more

Our last transformer worked for a while even when we upgraded our doorbell to a RemoBell S video doorbell but eventually became too weak and this one was a perfect replacement! Came with clear instructions, put out the correct amount of power and has been problem free! It took a little work to get it in the wall behind the chime because it's probably 50% bigger than our original but I managed! ... show more
