I had a friend that used similar difusers, but for her cats. They stopped her cats from tearing up the furniture and from their occasional sibling rivalry. So when I saw a diffuser for dogs, I had to give it a try. Unfortunately, it didn't help with a female Pit mix who is extremely destructive. For her, the diffuser seemed to actually make her more hyper. I plan on reading up more about the proper use of this type diffuser and see if I can change our outcome. BOTTOM LINE: 1. I recommend this ALIVO Calming Diffuser for Dogs. 2. The current price of ~$17 is reasonable. LIKES: - I've had the displeasure of enduring recent lightning and thunderstorms with my little 7 pound Pomeranian. She was scared during, but was less terrified than normal. She also recovered much quicker, including regaining her appetite almost right away. - I use a multi-tiered approach to keeping my girl calm, but this addition was noticeable all by itself. I’ve tried cbd chews and now the diffuser with the advice of my puppy trainer. I’ve had it plugged in a few days now. I can see a slight change in my dogs anxiety and temperament. I got a couple refills so let’s hope this works long term out of her puppy years!

I tried three different brands in different hot spots for my dogs to make poor choices and I have only seen a slight success with one. My dog actually urinated right in front of this so I'm doubtful as to whether it is helpful or not. There is no scent and I have not seen my dogs go near it or appear to acknowledge it. When we adopted our newest member into our family he cried and was so jumpy after plugging this in I wanted to believe it was helping after a few nights on some sleep but I noticed it wasn't in fact this unit but the calming chews we were also using to calm our new member into our family.
