We think the product is great and its definitely good to have for the dog during recovery and menstrual times. Pros: look and feel are great. Velcro ends hold pretty strong. Easy to put on and off. My 14 lb mini doodle mix got fixed and they sent him home with the dreaded cone. I thought he was going to break his neck with the amount of twisting his head he did with it on. I thankfully purchased this outfit aka hospital gown before the surgery. It was a must. It fit him perfectly. When he needed to do his business the velcro could easily be attached up to avoid being peed on. The outfit covered his incision and I did not worry about him licking the spot. I have a 10.8 lb Chorkie (Chihuahua-Yorkie). I bought a size medium. According to their sizing chart, my dog was right on the large end of size SMALL, and small end of size MEDIUM. Since he just got neutered and doesn’t do well in wraps or head cones, and the clothing can’t be tight, I purchased a medium. It is a little big, but works really well. He’s comfortable in it and cannot access the stitches to lick them. You do have to take it off to let them use the restroom, which I knew ahead of time. I would recommend again! ... show more

Do not purchase. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I put it on my dog against vet suggestion and they were correct. It has no padding where the stitches are sawn. It’s just a circle of thread that that the made with no patting or anything. It actually aggravates the insition area. I sat down for about 30min removing the stitches so I could use it as a onesie after she heals ... show more

Our mini Aussie got spayed 3 weeks ago and she HATED her cone. She was constantly ramming it into doors, walls and furniture, and trying to get it off her neck. We got 2 of these, and they worked perfectly to stop her from messing with her stitches. She ended up ripping her skin open between her stitches and needed to be in this an extra week, but it never bothered her at all. In fact, I think she misses it now that it's off. As for the back area, we never ended up closing it around her back legs, but just velcroed it in front of her legs so she wouldn't have a potty accident in it.
