This is amazing. Idk how this works but it does. After a bit my dog does adjust to a new spot on this to get cool again. I held my hand on this for a while and it felt cool after a bit. I purchased this mat for our outdoor stray. When I received and took it out of the package our indoor stray decided he wanted it. Of course that meant I had to order another. They are great. Both cats love to lay on them and the pad does stay cool. I haven’t washed them yet but they are clean and everything flies off when I shake them out.
