My golden retriever weighs 72 # so I ordered the 3X Large. I should have gone by the measurements not the poundage. It was too big. So I reordered XXLarge. It now stays on her shoulders and fits around the butt better. I'm not crazy about all those tiny snaps. I marked 3 spots with pen on back so I could snap it in 3 places and not make the dog stand so long while I snapped them all. I think velcro would have been my reference. This one has the "privates" open so there's no hassle to do , when they want to eliminate. The material is stretchy, she doesn't mind wearing it. I live in CA and the short sleeves were a must. I would give -5 stars. Ordered this for my dog after his surgery. Came with blood and toxic waste on it from a dog I’m assuming that wore it before returning it. I’m disgusted because this could be from a dog that is sick and had a transmittable disease.. DO NOT BUY…. I feel like my 10 dollar gift card didn’t justify this… ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The neck is too large and slides down her shoulders, but her harness keeps it on. I got a 3X for the length/chest and I'm glad I did. Great replacement for the dreaded cone. She can move about freel and go out and relieve herself with it on. She doesn't mind it. I do wish it wasn't blue, but that's just a quirk I have, because I would have liked something girly. There are lots of snaps, but not to difficult to get on. I gave it 4 stars, but only because of the neck being so large, if she didn't have the harness on, I think she could get out of it if she wanted to. There is extra fabric that hangs down below her belly, but she is long and lean so that's to be expected and it's not really an issue, but that also means there would be plenty of room for a more filled out dog. Got my dog spayed and I bought this to help cover her stitches after I removed the cone a week early. Got tired of getting whacked in the back of my legs with the cone. Plus she sleeps in my bed. Sizing was fine for my dog but the design needs some work. She has no trouble removing it because it has a tendency to slide backwards as she is moving around in her sleep or just walking around. It than slides down her legs and she pulls her legs out of the holes. Once she gets one leg out, the rest is pretty easy. I had to put one of her doggie sweaters over the recovery jacket to help it stay on better. Even than, this morning she woke up with no recovery jacket or sweater on. ... show more

I have a 11 lb maltipoo. She is short and long. I bought a medium. She prob should have been a large. It still fit but after using it for several hours, her arms sometimes came out the arm hole from stretching. Only because it was small. Would have exchanged it but it was a last minute purchase. I work at home and in office. When home I would put it on her. No cone needed. Serious game changer. The rear cut out fits perfect. Positioned to fully cover her incision but perfect to use the bathroom. Never damp from urine or dirty. If u have a male, there is an area u can cut out for them to urinate. My girl is super hyper all the time but let's me do alot to her without a fight. The snaps down the back take some time to snap up. It maybe a challenge if ur dog isn't cooperative. But all the surgery onsies are made that way. Would definitely recommend. Especially if u have ever had to deal with a dog wearing a cone before. Lol ... show more

My 9 month old Vizsla got spayed and I popped her right into this, we haven't used the cone at all. For some reason when this is on her she calms right down and doesn't run around and act like a goofball ( normal behavior for her). I bought a second one so I can wash the original. It isn't super tight fitting and so it's not pushing agains her wound and there is room for air to move around. It's good fabric and seems to breathe just fine. It does have a lot of snaps but I get her front feet in first - praising her the whole time_ and do up the first two snaps at the neck. Then I get her back feet in and snap the last 2 snaps and then do some or all of the middle ones. She is slim and smooth coated and has slid out of it once through the night, but I don't think she knew she wasn't wearing it. We take it off to take a short walk or to give her a break and as soon as she puts it back on she calms right down, I'm not sure I understand it but we are 5 days out of surgery and she's healing really well. I'm very happy I found these, dont' get a super tight one, it's ok to have some room inside of it. ... show more

We got this for our male puppy who has surgery yesterday. The suit doesn’t cover his stitches like it’s suppose to do. We still have to keep the cone on his head . Very disappointed. Would not recommend.
