I hoped I could assemble it myself because I have put many things together but not this. So many pieces! It’s not super sturdy. I have a 17# elderly Westie who doesn’t chew on things. Liked it was affordable and well built for the cost,disliked the cheap door latches I spent 7 dollars at the hardware store and got 2 nice ones.dog chewed the doors and bars a little but has seemed to give up on getting out.now he seems to like it and lays in there a lot without having to.

They need to provide better instructions to build it, I almost return it but return it was so expensive that decide to give it a try, seller was responsive they even send me a video and offer some credit that at the end I didn’t take as I ended keeping it and liking it. I can see it is no chewing proof but looks very nice. My dog is enjoying it and it looks very nice match with the decoration ... show more

It’s a beautiful sturdy crate. Easy to assemble. We were originally going to return the crate, but decided to keep it because we really liked it. The reason why we were going to return it, was our pup was very small and went right through bars of crate. I figured he will eventually get larger & won’t be able to get through the bars any longer so we decided to kept it . The seller is very cooperative. & gives excellent customer service! We read many reviews about the difficulty of building, but we had no problems. Our predrilled holes line up well. It took about an hour, so a lengthy process, but not a difficult one. Our puppy is 3 months old and growing every day so we decided to bite the bullet and get a crate that he will fit in through his full adult size. We liked the look of these since our dogs sleep in the kitchen-- the standard black wire crates are unsightly and not something we wanted to look at all the time. We have small dogs (each with their own crate) so there's enough room for them to be comfy. Putting them together is like assembling Ikea furniture- a bit fiddly to have the pieces lean against each other and hopefully not fall over while you're screwing the first couple walls together and the instructions weren't the best, so it look a good 2 hrs the first time (the 2nd crate came together in half this time, though). ... show more

My dog is a level 10 escape artist with intense anxiety. He was able to muster super dog strength to bend the bar on the door. This is the third cage my dog has busted through. We are going to stop trying to cage this poor guy and look in to other ways to barricade him safely. SELLER FULLY REFUNDED MY MONEY. Seller was responsive, empathetic, and efficient. This crate is nice as a crate/end table - HOWEVER, there are some things to watch out for if you decide on this one. First, make sure the opening is on the side you need, otherwise placement in your room will be awkward. Second (probably should have been first) the holes are not drilled deeply enough to take the entire screw. If you try to force the screws, they will strip and you will never be able to get them in all the way. You will need a drill to deepen the holes prior to placing the screws. This can be measured by inserting the allen wrench provided to see how deep the holes are, then measure against the length of the screws they provide. That will indicate how much further you will need to drill. ... show more
