I've now owned this product for over a year. It's been used everywhere from my cramped DC apartment, to my parent's basement in OH, to my new home in NC. It's fulfilled multiple roles; it's perfect for dog crates, as advertised, but it's also great for moving from place to place for my elderly lab mix. After a year of heavy use, the cushion is still springy and shapely, and as of just yesterday when I washed the outer cover, still 100% clean because said outer cover has done such a good job of keeping dust and lite moisture out. The soft, long fibers on top have flattened out like shag carpet in a high-traffic hallway, but not even that badly, and that was expected anyways. Now that I have a larger home, I will most likely be buying a second one, but a larger size this time. ... show more

It arrived quickly, and was in a surprisingly tiny box for the 4’ bed I ordered. It was vacuum packed very tightly though and instantly regained its original shape once I removed it from the packaging. The material is very soft to the touch, and I LOVE that you can remove the cover and wash it in the washing machine. And it’s super easy to remove the cover and to put it back on, takes seconds. It’s not that material where you wish you never removed it from the cover because you just can’t stuff it back in. It’s great! My dog is picky, she hates dog beds and prefers the couch or my bed. She just had TPLO surgery for an ACL tear, so she’s not allowed to get on the bed or couch anymore, so I needed to try another dog bed again. I bought the largest size (XXL) which is about 4’ long, and turns out it’s plenty for my 80lb fat butt lab to lay on. When I laid the bed down on the floor the first time, and called her to it she first sat on it so I just let her sit there for a moment and get used to it. Then I started to give her the coveted belly rub and she immediately laid down on the bed. For the next two or three hours she laid there and slept like a baby, until we had to wake her up to move to the other room. She loves the bed! She goes to it now on her own to lay on it and makes me go get it if it’s not in the same room as us!! I need to order another one or maybe two more. These are great, big, comfy beds that my local stores just didn’t carry, and especially not at this price!! Plus most don’t have easily removable covers. I love this bed too and definitely recommend to anyone with a dog. This bed has made my dog’s TPLO (ACL) surgery recovery a breeze. She’s so comfortable now and has a comfy, safe place to go at all times. So glad I found this! ... show more

I purchased for my elderly dog when i noticed he would come out of his crate very slowly and appeared achy. The mat the crate came with was too thin and not supportive. This one is about 2 inches thick and the cover is nice and soft and yet does not trap dog hair. I did wrap the insert in a plastic bag before placing it in the cover. Just in case he has an accident. This mat fits snug into the crate. The dog seems to like it. How do I know? He would only spend the nights in his crate and after we put the mat in he chooses to go and nap in there. Likes: The cushion cover is actually quite nice, well constructed, and made of nice materials. Dislikes: The cushion itself is just cheap foam batting, that is flat on the bottom, and textured on the top, “ for the dog’s comfort” the ad said. All 3 of my dogs have tried it, and as soon as they set foot (paws) on it, they jump off quickly! They do not like the feel of the foam at all! ... show more
