After buying the boys their new lift beds the dog (whom I lovingly call The Geek even though that's not his name) needed a new bed. After sleeping on the bottom bunk of the boys old bunk beds for years with his boy he was quite upset about being regulated to the floor. So he got himself a new bed. It beat listening to him whine all night looking up at the boys on their loft beds. The bed came well packaged and vacuumed down into a tight roll inside a vinyl like bag in the box. If you want to save the bag for whatever reason expect to spend about 15 minutes fighting it out while trying to preserve the bag. Ask me how I know, but my young daughters now have a sleeping bag for their stuffies. The things a parent does to make their little ones happy. Lol At any rate the dog is an American Terrier but most will know him as a Pit Bull. He's one of the short stocky compact balls of muscle variety and fits on his bed with plenty of room to spare. The only real complaint I have is I expected the bed to be a bit thicker but it's functional and keeps him cushioned. But hey it's a dog bed and it serves its purpose. The boy did give the dog one of his old blankets to go with his dog bed for the smell and familiarity and between the 2 the Geek is quite happy!!! After a couple nights on his new bed the whining ended and we all sleep better. Lol ... show more

I will agree with the other reviews ...it doesn't look even half as thick as the picture. That being said, I always go off of the dimentions and not the marketing photo. That being said, the pros are that it is a very soft, heavy weighted filling, large dog bed for the price. The color is exactly as pictured.In my opinion, a dog around 50 lbs or less will be comfortable? cons, the dense filling does flatten with a little weight. Arrived exactly as advertised size-wise. I think it would be a bit heavy for your average home washer and dryer as it is pretty heavy dry. I gave it 4 stars because overall, its as advertised minus the rediculous thick mattress looking photo and the dense heavy filling. ... show more

We purchased thinking it would be thicker but it still feels like great quality and feels durable. We put it in top of his other pillow and it’s perfect. The color we chose hides the hair as well.

Changed my review from a 1-star to 4-star. It took a while for the pad to come back to a normal shape. Forget the dryer method. It does not work. After a few days the pad is 2-1/2 to 3-inches thick and it is a very stable crate mat with good padding. Would purchase again.

The product itself is nice. It just kept getting delayed. I don’t know why lately my products have been getting delayed and I pay a monthly prime fee. None of my products are arriving on time, so as a prime member there should be something done about that.

My Shiba loves it and the German Shepherd will even sneak a lay in it (but he’s too big). It has a nice thickness to it. Not too thick so he feels unsteady walking in it (he’s old) but not too thin where it’s not comfy. He was never one to like beds but he sleeps in this daily. I’ve washed it and it comes out nice. I haven’t had an issue with the quality. My GSD is still a puppy but, so far, it’s withstood his random chews (he loves anything fluffy to get the fluff right now- sneaky pup).
