I purchased this for my dog's neuter because I know he is very flexible, has a long nose, and the inflatable donut collar wouldn't keep him from reaching his sutures. This cone met most of my expectations. Before purchasing, I compared the base-of-neck to nose measurement on several soft cones. This one had the longest. I also like that it has a clear edge so that the dog can see despite it being really long. That long edge was necessary. He tried going at his sutures several times and would have been able to lick them, if the cone had been any shorter. He's an adolescent, so he has little impulse control and a lot of energy. If the cone gets caught on something (a doorway, your body, a piece of furniture) he just keeps pushing through until the cone bends around the item, haha. The cone always bounces right back into shape, and despite being bent many times, the clear part has not cracked or broken. It is pretty scratched, however. He's a Bloodhound, so he drools a lot. The fabric is easy to clean and dries quickly. My only complaint is the sizing: M 8"-10.5" L 12"-16" XL 14"-18.5" XXL 16"-21" Either the measurements are not correctly listed, or they didn't put a lot of planning into the sizing groups. There is no cone size between 10.5" and 12". This seems odd to me. I purchased an XXL because the measurement for my dog's neck is 19". However, if he gets up onto the couch and leans his head over the side, he can shake it off. I will admit that this could be because he is a Bloodhound with a lot of flexible neck skin. However, this could possibly have been prevented, if I could put the loops around his collar. Unfortunately, the loops are not large enough or flexible enough to slip over the buckle on his 1" collar. Lastly, it would be nice if the velcro came around the sides more for necks that are on the smaller side of the sizing measurement. Or, perhaps, the issue I faced could have been solved if there was a wider range of sizes with more overlap in measurements. As previously mentioned, my dog just walks into things and keeps walking until the object succumbs to his will. Because he is on the smaller side of the sizing measurement, there is a flap of cone that sticks out to the side instead of wrapping around. This allows the cone to get caught on objects more often. Despite that, the cone is durable and is still in good shape after 5 days of use. In summation: It is doing what it needs to do and holding up well. This soft cone is so much better than the harder plastic ones we had originally. A little too large for my girl so there was a bit of an overlap when velcroing it on. It did the job however. It went past her nose so she could not get to her surgery site, (back L thigh). Put it on only at night. Because it is soft she slept easily and it did not hang up on doorways or furniture. During the day I used a blow up donut. Also used post surgical jammies. Best combination we have ever used. Highly recommend this cone. ... show more

The cone we purchased for $45 at the vet was way too lose around our dogs neck and was more like a wide sphere instead of a cone. It had slipped off right away in parking lot when taking my dog home. Right away I knew we needed a new one and I found this one. Our German Shepard is 1 year and 9 months old in the picture. He weighs 80 pounds and has a large snout so I purchased the XXL. The Velcro is super strong which is great. Much easier to put on than the button one we got at the vet. This cone also has loops at the neck you can put a string through and tie if you need to fasten at the neck to keep it on. Our dog has ran into the walls and a lot of things since it’s pretty big (but material is flexible enough that it doesn’t hurt him). In pictures it looks super big on him, but when he is standing or walking you can see the top of his nose just a smidge so we know going bigger was right choice for our GSD. He has been able to reach his food and water bowl with it on. Very happy with this cone. Only down side for us is the interior fabric doesn’t come off to wash, He has already gotten pretty dirty and I don’t know how to wash it effectively. ... show more

So I have a dog who has very bad allergies that flare up throughout the year since he was a pup and he will scratch and lick until his skin is nothing but raw skin that gets bloody and scabs up (despite medical intervention over 7 yrs we've tried a lot of different treatments). He is known to get around his cones or other preventive methods and destroy some part of his body. Well this cone has been holding up very well. It's long enough for him to not reach his feet, cuz he would throw his foot inside his other cones and just lick away until it was bloody and raw while no one was home. This cone gives me comfort in knowing he has a comfortable padded inner part for him to rest his head because he also has to sleep in this cone as well. We've been using this for a couple months now and I recommend this to owners with dogs that are crafty in removing cones or getting around cones to get to spots they don't need to mess with. Because of course, he has managed to escape basic or poorly designed cones. The sizing measurements are accurate as well, the size I ordered fits perfectly. Easy to take on and off with a spot for the collar to connect to the cone for a more secure fit. ... show more

Absolutely hands down the best E-Cone or Elizabeth Collar on the market. It is padded on the inside, has elastic loops for regular collar, has a semi hard plastic rim, has reflective stitching, and is sturdy enough that it won't bend or break if your dog constantly runs into things like wall edges or door edges. It's water resistant too. This is the longest E-Cone I've found so far and is really well made. Highly recommend and I'm not being paid to say this. One thing I would mention is I put duck tape on the inside and outside where the two parts overlap to add stability so that it wouldn't come loose. Not that it would but I'm not taking any chances. There is a very large area of black velcro and white velcro so it isn't coming off at all unless you pull it apart. I added the tape so that if that edge got snagged on something it wouldn't pull apart. You do not have to use tape but I did to ease my worrying mind. ... show more
