I've got two hairy double coat Kuvasz. They are inside dogs and heavy shedders. Professional groomers were charging $100 each to clip them but went up to $120. Decided to do it myself and struggled with several less expensive clippers. Very difficult. These are much better as long as I don't let their fur get too long. Without the guard, they will shear right down to the skin which is too short. So, I use the guards which clog with hair pretty quickly requiring frequent cleaning. They also cut better by applying oil to the blade often. I can do both dogs on a single charge. Even clipped the cat's belly. Don't know how long they'll last but I've gotten two groomings out of them and seem to still be cutting alright. ... show more

First time using it today on my dog. I use it for 30 minutes, and when i turn it off to adjust or change clips and try to turn it back on it went dead, the screen would not lit up. I went ahead and hook it back on the charger and it lit back up and from there on it work again. Hopefully this is thing will keep on working becuase it sure cut real good on my dogs. ... show more

I have tried several different clippers on my dogs and this is the best one so far (for the money) my dogs don't mine the noice and/or the vibration and it seems to cut well. It also came with some decent sizzors and different attachments that work well. I haven't it long enough to comment on the battery life but. I've had different clippers in my life time and different dogs. My old clippers would take me over an hour to clip my little dog who is 16 years old. These clippers 30 minutes, they never got hot to the touch and are super quiet. I am so happy I made this purchase.
