  • Great for medical program students
I'm currently in a medical education program that requires me to do clinicals in several different places. This works great for my personal go-bag.

  • DOESN'T WORK
THE CUFF MACHINE DOES NOT WORK. IT GIVES THE INCORRECT READING AND IS DIFFICULT TO PUMP UP AND USE

  • EZ to set up & use, large size cuff fits most adults, accurate measurement + case...
I'm putting together a few first aid kits -- a large one to have at home and smaller ones for each of our cars. I was happy to run across this rather old-fashioned type of sphygmomanometer. I already have a stethoscope, so this will be perfect for my home first aid kit. I like the idea of having an aneroid type in case there is no way to charge one of the digital versions during some sort of emergency. Plus, I think this type is more accurate in any case. It arrived with the gauge already clipped into place on the cuff. The cuff is a large size so it will work for most adults. All I needed to do was attach the two tubes from the air bladder -- one to the gauge and the other to the bulb (it doesn't matter which is which since they operate under the same air pressure but I prefer having the bulk on the outermost tube). I tested it out on my husband and it works perfectly and aligns very well with the readings he has been getting on his digital blood pressure monitor. The valve on the bulb was easy to tighten to pump up the air bladder and easy to loose up to let the air out once I had taken the pressure readings. The entire set up rolls up fairly compactly and fits nicely into the included zipper case. It doesn't take up a lot of room in my kit, and I feel a little extra piece of mind having this. A set of fairly complete instructions are included for anyone that is not familiar with taking blood pressure using this type of device. The current price of $14.95 is very reasonable. ... show more
