  • The Cadillac of dog crates
Size: Medium Color: Ash
This thing is amazing… even has a moon roof! Plus I love how easily it folds down. It’s light-weight and has rollers, making it pretty easy to move. I bought the largest size, hoping it will be large enough for my golden retriever when he is full grown. It’s perfect for him right now as a puppy, with room to grow. PLEASE NOTE: Diggs tells you NOT to use this to transport a dog in a car. I guess that’s liability, because dog crates are not designed for crash-worthiness. BUT, it’s safer to have a puppy confined in a crate when traveling, rather than running loose in the car. My puppy complained about every other crate I tried… read reviews about this one and had to try it. THe combination of the crate (well designed, nice latches, plus moon roof is fun!), and the matching Diggs orthopedic bed have made my pup a much happier camper in the car! ... show more

  • Easy to use
Size: Small Color: Grey
Love this crate. Perfect size for a small (6.5lb dog). The one thing I wish was the option for the garage door side to be either side or purchase according to side. Otherwise easy to open and close. No struggling to close it. The wheels are a little small for rolling but do the job. Overall great purchase! Especially if you get a deal! ... show more

  • Expensive but worth it
Size: Small Color: Charcoal
I have to say yes this is extremely expensive for a crate. On the other hand i have to say this is the best crate i've ever purchased. I justfied the purchase by understanding this will most likely be the one and only time i need to purchase a crate because my dog is so small he will need to grow into it. Money aside I love the crate and have no regrets purchasing it. ... show more

  • Love, love, love this crate
Looks great in the home, much better than the standard black metal crates. Costly, but we have no regrets.

  • Good crate, couple of missteps
Over all I am very happy with this crate, I got it for my Cavalier King Charles spaniel puppy in size small. It is sturdy and looks nice and I feel the safety features make it worth the larger footprint compared to traditional wire crates. My issues are with the separator. The good thing is that it installs easily and feels incredibly secure but… My first issue is that the gap on the bottom allows small bones and treats underneath. I feel bad when I have given my pup a treat to keep him happy and it ends up in a place he can’t reach. My second issue which is way more frustrating is that the tray will not slide all the way out with the divider in. I feel like this is a huge oversight for an otherwise well thought out design. Having a puppy and not being able to easily and quickly clean the tray is very frustrating. Despite the above I would buy this crate again but I do hope they fix this design flaw in the future. ... show more

  • Impressed, with a cautiously optimistic update.
Size: Medium Color: Ash
Our number one reason for purchasing it was looks. And now I don’t know why we waited so long. Our Petco crate worked great, but it looked like a big black cage no matter where we put it. We could not be happier because the ash gray blends in with our decor perfectly. It still looks like a crate, but it’s a lot more elegant and subtle than what we had. Functionally, it’s very sturdy, very dog proof (for our furry little chewer), and has lots of ingress/egress options. It’s a breeze to assemble/break down, thoughtfully designed, safe, and secure. Do read the owner’s manual bc there are a few finer points (regarding proper use) that you might not pick up on your own. The only downside is that it’s heavy to pick up. Even if you move it using the built-in rollers, you have to stoop because the grip is just a groove built into the frame. Would I buy again or recommend to a friend? 100% yes. Update: I’ve now had this a few weeks and my dog already considers it his home-within-the-home. He’s a small buy mighty chewer and has already done some damage to the finish on the grates…so I’m just hoping the bond is strong enough that it doesn’t deteriorate on its own now that the paint seal is broken. ... show more

  • Diggs dog crate
Size: Medium Color: Ash
Tried to order a small size, not a medium size. After wrongfully ordering the wrong size twice I finally got the small size. This is a fantastic crate. I fully recommend it.

  • Not chew proof!
All the reviews on the Diggs website are 5 stars. But here’s the truth... I’ve had big and medium dogs and used the old school plastic shell crates that are 2 halves with a metal door. We’ve also used the black metal crates with the metal pan. These days we graduated to a smaller dog so we thought we’d give a “premium” crate a try. I’ve had this crate for 2.5 months. I bought it for a 4 month old shorty Jack russel. She slept in a crate before we got her so this wasn’t her first rodeo. THE GOOD: The crate is very easy to assemble, attractive, has a removable bottom pan which is nice for cleaning, as well as a helpful puppy divider which we used. THE BAD: Now 2.5 months in with this premium crate - I’m looking for a replacement. SO MUCH of this crate is highly chewable soft plastic. It’s not strong enough to withstand the gnawing of a 6.5 month old, 9lb puppy. I can’t imagine what a big dog is capable of. The ceiling of the crate is chewed out along the perimeter of the holes in the top. Note- that the crate folds up and locks in place with a round mechanism on the top. This mechanism is bolted into the lid -and these bolts protrude into the crate and are covered by plastic. It’s an invitation for dogs to chew. LITERALLY an invitation. This seems like poor design. Our pup has almost chewed through the plastic holding those bolts in place. Once they go- is the crate going to collapse? Durable is NOT one of the marketing points. Perhaps intentionally? I’m disappointed in the price tag considering the lifespan of this crate. Every dog chews at some point. Maybe these crates should only be invested in for mature dogs? While the online buzz for Diggs is persuasive- if it doesn’t last - does it really matter that it “looks good”? THE UGLY: Our old plastic kennels and metal kennels never did this, ever. With the Diggs kennel - beauty only seems to be skin deep. Time to return to the ugly duckling! Think twice before investing your hard earned dollars. This is one popularized product that fell far short for us. ... show more
