  • Works great, but it chews through batteries
I love this thing. It's so much easier for small jobs where you have access to a hose, but not electric, or you don't want to drag out your gas washer. I would say this is really meant for quicker jobs of around 10 minutes. My 6ah battery lasts about 15 minutes. Which is enough to clean a lawn tractor, patio set, deck, or dirt bike/4wheeler. It's perfect for those jobs where you don't need maximum pressure, and you don't want to drag out a bunch of gear. It also breaks down into a much smaller unit compared to a typical pressure washer, so it's easy to transport and store. ... show more

  • Adjust your expectations and it’s a great tool
I understand the contempt this thing gets. Dewalt has marketed it as a power washer and it is not that. Poor move on Dewalt’s part, especially since this is a super handy tool. I live on several acres in the country. My well pump makes terrible water pressure with even a 50 ft hose and that’s barely long enough to reach my driveway. This tool plus a five gallon bucket has allowed me to clean things that have not been cleaned in years. The kids’ play set, the pole barn, the retaining wall blocks, and many others. It’s not very strong but I do think it lives up to its 550 ft lb rating and that has been plenty for me. The people who say it’s not stronger than their garden hose must have insanely powerful water pressure. Don’t think of this tool as a power washer. Think of it as a highly portable, well-pressurized garden hose. If that sounds like something you need, it is definitely worth the cost. ... show more

  • Works well for specific uses like a car wash foam cannon
I was looking for a small portable pressure washer to use for a car wash foam cannon. I was tired of getting my larger gas powered pressure washout out just to foam a car. I saw this dewalt cordless option and having basically all of the 20v tools I figured this would be worth a shot. Overall it works ok with the car wash foam cannon. It definitely doesn’t spray out as well as a gas powered one, but it gets the job done. I think this is a really good option for washing cars as long as you don’t want a high powered pressure washer for knocking dirt off. If you just want to use a foam cannon and then have a little higher pressure than a garden hose with a jet sprayer, this will do the trick. I would not recommend it for any actually pressure washing. It just doesn’t have the power needed to really pressure wash. If I had it to do over again, I might get the 60v option as it has a little more power and should give you more flexibility in use. ... show more

  • Just put a nozzle on your regular hose.
I bought and returned this unit last year. It took me some time to get around to the review but I think my opinion could be valuable to some. I'm a happy and mostly loyal DeWalt customer. I have a large selection of their 20v tools as they are typically well built items that last and all run on the same battery platform. The pressure washer (if you can call it that) didn't live up to the name printed on the side in any way. Cheap plastic hose connections didn't start the first unboxing with confidence but I plugged the hose onto the bottom and gave a test round wash on my truck with a fully charged 6.0 Ah battery. I was shocked, not only did it have very little in the way of pressure, but the amount of water it delivered was very restricted. It didn't touch the dirt stuck to the panels. I'm not talking about thickly caked on mud from off reading, just typical NY road grime after a few rainy day drives. I took the Dewalt off and just hooked my hose nozzle back up and washed my truck with much better results. It's also unwieldy, you might hit a plastic chair and be happy with the simple convenience of battery and fully handheld but you're going to work harder holding this puppy up the whole time than if you had just taken a scrubby to the chair (and would probably get better results). Some might say I didn't give it a fair shot only using it once but when you compare it to other Dewalt tools it's easy to see this one underperformed. ... show more

  • Meh !
This unit works like a $140 pressure washer would work. Not super powerful , but it his higher psi than a garden hose. The fatal flaw with this thing is the quick connect fitting that DeWalt provides to go from your hose to the washer. I honestly don’t think this fitting could be made any cheaper if NASA was challenged to make it cheaper. Mine broke in 1 minute w/o undue pressure on it. This fitting takes the brunt of the force from a stiff garden hose to the washer , it WILL break on you . Replacements are available but kind of hard to find . ... show more

  • Easy to use not noisy
Got my Dewalt pressure washer Saturday. Charged up my batteries Sat night and spent several hours Sunday PW my house, my truck and my deck. I have the larger 20v batteries and these lasted about 45 mins to 1 hour each. Overall easy to use. Got a 5 gallon bucket and filled it up but got smart after a few times of emptying the bucket so dropped my garden hose in it at a slow level to keep the bucket full. This is great for cars, my house, my deck. No lugging around my noisy gas powered PW. Plan to finish my deck next weekend. ... show more

  • This is a fine niche tool
Do not compare this to a gasoline or electric pressure washer, those are violent sprayers that have their time and place. This DeWalt is a unique finesse spray washer that I'm glad I found. With a little pre-soaping this is the perfect tool to use to degrease your engine compartment without blasting things apart. Clean Venetian blinds laid out on the driveway. Wash widows, facia and soffits, clean post lamps and landscape lights. Wash reusable filters and screens, outdoor A/C coils....... in short, all those things that you don't want to blast with high pressure, and you will find out there are a lot of things that this is perfect for. Dewalt did not make a mistake with this tool, it serves well the niche that it was designed for. Notwithstanding all of the above, this pressure sprayer can, while attached to a garden hose with the turbo nozzle installed and set on high pressure, indeed do a decent job on decks, porches, bricks and concrete, albeit at a very much slower pace, but doable, especially on a small project, like say a shower stall or door slabs. I found this power washer, many times, keeps me from needlessly breaking out the gas monstrosity. ... show more
