  • Small but powerful!
Style: Pole Saw Kit Only
I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the power and quality of performance from this pole saw! That thing cut through tree branches like butter. My wife took it for a test run and couldn't stop cutting 😂😂 She had a blast. I would definitely recommend this to anyone! It was easy to assemble, quite versatile, the weight is very manageable and the noise level is very acceptable. Please don't expect to cut down large tree trunks 🤦🏽♂️ Sometimes you have to tell people these things. ... show more

  • Surprisingly powerful
Style: Pole Saw Kit Only
Very happy with the performance of this saw. Powerful for the size and battery life lasts longer than expected. Chain is very sharp out of the box. I got quotes for $1000 to trim my tree. I did it for $230. Saw paid for it's self after the first use!

  • How did I live so long without this?
Style: Pole Saw Kit Only
So I'm not a professional landscaper, but for a homeowner this is now my second favorite tool now. Worked flawlessly. Owned the home for 20 years, and maybe once or twice hired a guy to do tree pruning. Had a lot of tree branches that had since grown over the roof, which clogs gutters and a pathway for insects. This tool handled them easy. Hours of cutting (one recharge cycle needed) at least a 1000 lbs of branches up to 6 inches thick. Nothing took more than 20 seconds to make the cut. Yes, the extension bows a bit, but if it was solid steel it would be much heavier. I did have to adjust the chain (tighten slightly) after the first hour, but that's common, chains always stretch the most when new from my experience with motorcycles and such Idk how some people commenting the oil to leak. lve stored it right side up, upside down, and sideways, no leaks while sitting. Maybe I just got a good one. I guess if you used it daily like pro's it's not the best, but today I saved well over $500 vs hiring a guy, and got a new tool out of it to boot. I'm sure it's ready for more in a couple years when I have to use it again ... show more

  • Pretty Good, a Few Complaints
Style: Pole Saw Kit Only
Another tool to make us drool from Dewalt. I have a Stihl pole chainsaw, gas powered. It's a beast. That's the fastest cutting chain saw I've ever used. But... yes there's a but... although it actually weighs 20 lbs, it's far too heavy to be very useful. 20 lbs doesn't sound very heavy, but when you've extended your arms out away from your body to cut something, 20 lbs is exhausting. I can cut 1 branch with it then have to rest awhile, & I can only do that a couple times before I can't go on. So when my son showed me Dewalt's battery pole chain saw, & it weighed only 10 lbs, I had to get it for my body's sake. Now, having used it, I'm pleased overall with my purchase. This thing is so much easier to lift & hold out away from your body. I cut a bunch of limbs off a tree yesterday & could have kept going. It takes the same battery packs that the other Dewalt tools do & that's a fantastic decision they made. I have about 10 different Dewalt battery powered tools & they're all quality tools. This saw is easy to assemble, very user friendly, & handy as heck if you're a homeowner with trees. I was cutting tree limbs with it that I didn't have the strength to cut with my Stihl. I do wish Dewalt made extra extension bars for it, but they don't. I have a complaint that someone else mentioned in the reviews - these saws are shipped with the chain tension incorrectly set - far too tight. Beware of that if you buy one. As soon as you get your saw, adjust the tension. And while you're at it, put oil in the chain oiler 'cause they come dry. The 2nd complaint I have is... these saws are slightly underpowered, which causes 2 issues: 1) the saw wants to dance around on the surface of whatever limb you want to cut instead of powering through it. The chain moves much slower than a gas saw does, so it doesn't cut anywhere near as fast & that's what causes this dancing around. 2) the saw often bogs down when trying to cut, & the reason why is because it's underpowered. A gas saw will never do this. Dewalt says in the instructions to get the saw turning full blast BEFORE moving the blade down onto the limb. You have to get a running start for this saw to perform. I really wish Dewalt would have amped up this tool. If they had I would give them 5 stars. In spite of these 2 issues, it's easy to work around them & compensate for the low power. The most important factor in Dewalt's favor is how they kept the weight of the tool down. That's far more important than the low power. A powerful saw is worthless if it's too heavy to use. ... show more

  • Really good saw
Style: Pole Saw Kit Only
Used it several times now and I have to say I like it. It cuts really well thru limbs. When undercutting the limb it does bog down and stop. Just let off trigger and it starts right back cutting. That is the only negative thing about it. Battery life is good.

  • Fantastic saw
Style: Pole Saw Kit Only
fantastic saw, cuts with ease, plenty of reach. Not nearly as top heavy as other saws I’ve used plus I now have one more battery for my other dewalt tools.

  • Lightweight pole saw
Style: Pole Saw Kit Only
This pole saw is much lighter than a gasoline one I have used. It is easy to use and works as expected.

  • Must be a return... casually packed. Charger contacts bent.
Style: Pole Saw Kit Only
Just what I needed. In a half hour I had a mountain of limbs in the back yard and my ham radio antennas are out in the clear. It is probably a little light for commercial use but just right for me. I didn't need to use an extension pole.... With the motor/saw up at full height it would take a pretty good arm and back to handle it. Use some strategy; don't get the saw hung up in a tree or you will have to hire an arborist to get it free. After 2 days...I'm glad I got it. Handy and very easy to use. ... show more
