  • Picture Is Clear And Crisp
Every house should have one of these endoscope cameras. Whether trying to find something that might be under a couch or under the refrigerator, or more importantly something that might have gone down a sink, these cameras are vital and essential in locating and retreiving them. I have an older version of an endoscope camera that needed you to download an app, connect with bluetooth to the camera, and view what was going on through your phone. It definitely was a bit cumbersome. With the DEPSTECH camera, you get a self contained, waterproof, endoscope camera with a clear, crisp image seen on a 2.4" screen. The picture is great whether under water or not. The controls on the screen are intuitive, whether adjusting the light at the tip of the camera or increasing the zoom 2x. The semi-rigid cable is exactly what you need when using one of these cameras, with inspection and advancement requiring torquing and turning the cable. Some have criticized this camera as having the cable "too stiff". I disagree....this stiffness is exactly what makes the camera so effective and also helps if you do need to retreive something. It also comes with a seperate small hook and small magnet that can be placed at the end of the lens to help with retreival of an object. It will work with a small object, but a larger object will be challenging. Under these conditions, I bought a seperate, long cable grasper that can be inserted next to the endoscope camera for retreiving the item. Believe it or not, using this piggy back approach, I was able to retreive a pair of glasses that had been flushed down a toilet (don't even ask!)....picture is attached. The only "gripe", as some others have mentioned, is that it would have been nice to be able to shoot a picture of what you are seeing, which is true, but it doesn't take much away from using this camera in the right setting. Finally, it is definitely value priced ($29.99 at the time of this writing) and is well worth it. Recommended ... show more

  • Good camera for viewing drains or small areas you cannot reach
Overall, I like this camera setup. The picture quality isn't the best, but it's better than what I had expected. It's easy to use and comes with a manual for detailed information. Good quality material, easy to clean when finished, and I'd say a good value for the price.

  • Good simple borescope
Review for: DEPSTECH Endoscope Camera with Light, 1080P HD Borescope Inspection Camera with 2X Zoom, IP67 Waterproof Plumbing Snake Camera, 16.5ft Semi-Rigid Cable, 2.4'' IP I like the live camera feed from the borescope. The quality is ok 1 in away or further, closer than 1 the image is out of focus. There is no way to take a picture unless you use your phone to take a picture of the screen. Simple and easy to use to look inside a wall or down an engine spark plug hole to inspect a piston. The image quality not sure if it’s a true 1080p seems to be less than that, such as 480p, image at times is grainy. There is no way to adjust the head of the end of the camera once down a pipe, ect so might be difficult for some tasks to get the right view. I like that this is rechargeable. I don’t like the grainy image at times seems less than 1080p, image is blurry when less than 1 in. Overall 4.3, stars taking into consideration the products description, quality, features, value and cost currently at 39.99, and there was a discount that further brought the price down. ... show more

  • Simple and very handy
I wish I had ordered this a long time ago. This endoscope is so easy to use. Simple on/off, zoom and light. For such a simple to use tool, it has so many uses. With its long 16.5' semi rigid cable, clear picture 2.4" screen and a 2x zoom, what's not to like especially at this price. I love the fact that its rechargeable via USB-C and battery indicator. Also comes with a hook and magnet attachment. I've already looked inside a wall to find the wire path and the back end of my engine compartment to see where one of the hoses connected to check for a leak. Do wish I could take a picture and would love to have an included case. Would be worth a few more dollars. I'm very happy with this endoscope. ... show more

  • Relatively inexpensive endoscope with great viewer clarity, but missing a key feature
For the money, this is a nice, completely self-contained endoscope and bore hole inspection system. I have an earlier DEPSTECH inspection camera and cable but I have to use my iPhone to control and view the inspection video. This system has a built-in screen on the handset. Certainly, more expensive endoscopes have more features but this is nice to place in your tool bag and have it handy for inspections. Reviewers have commented that the user cannot capture images and that there is no control over the tip. You will get these features but the price will most likely more than double. That being said, it is too bad that DEPSTECH does not include at least one of the mirror tools that can be affixed to the end of the cable for side viewing. They do include the hook and magnet tools but none of their 3 available mirrors. PROS • Completely self-contained endoscope with a controller/viewer, i.e., no smartphone is required. • Charging cable with USB-A at the charging end and a USB-C connector at the endoscope. • Controllable, LED lights facilitate viewing. • Digital zoom. • Good, relatively high resolution screen that is large enough to be useful. • Two tools (hook and magnet) are included. • A very brief, multilanguage booklet-style manual is included. CONS • Case must be purchased separately but excluding the case does keep the cost down. • Presumably, to keep the cost down, there is no ready way to capture the images. This would have been a very useful feature but, then again, it may have increased the price. • A side-viewing mirror tool (there are three different angles available from DEPSTECH) is not included. Certainly, including one would have made this endoscope more useful and should not have added too much to the cost. ... show more
