Don't waste your money on the Dellona D30 Hearing Aids. I sent these 2,800 miles away to my mother as a gift. Visiting her this summer I asked why she wasn't using them and she said they never worked properly but she didn't want to tell me and hurt my feelings. She said one quit working immediately and there's a weird background noise with the other. Reading all the reviews now, they all seem to all have the same issue. What a WASTE of $221.00. My husband has been telling me for the last few years that I can't hear him from 2 rooms over. Trouble hearing grandkids and TV clearly Doctor said I am not ready for hearing aids. So I took a chance on these instead of $2k hearing aids and am glad I did. They have multiple sound settings (8) and are easy to use. There are indicator lights when turning on/off (extremly helpful) and for charge left. There are tone notes for high and low ranges. They are color coded red and blue (red for right ear is how I remember). They came charged and ready to go. They are easy to start but READ THE ENCLOSED INFO. The carry case and charging cases re a bit confusing. It said not to charge for more than 3 hours, which means no storing in the charging case. I probably should charge the by itself without the aids inside. Then put the aids into the charging case for 3 hours?? The carry case has a bubble in the middle inside one side of it, not sure of it's purpose? which side of the inside is up? does it matter? Wearing these allows me to hear what I was missing. No nasty sound distortions, no hums, and mostly comfortable. I started wereing for limited hours in a day but yesterday, I tried wearing them for 8 hours. one became uncomfortable so I removed them. I will try increasing wear time in incrimentally to see if I can tolerate them all day. ... show more

Update - while I still give the actual hearing aids a 1-star review, the vendor is doing everything they can to make up for my initial experience. Thus, I will upgrade my review to 2 stars just for their attention to try to make things right. ------ original review --------- First - I have significant tinnitus, so that may have affected my experience. I was looking for hearing aids that would allow me to listen to the television at lower volume levels - i.e., amplify conversation on the television, so I wouldn't have to turn up the TV volume. My wife complains that I have to have the TV volume turned up too high for her. Pros: * Earpieces fit well in my ear canals and were not uncomfortable, although if I walked around very much, they did come loose over time. * Charging case seems well-designed - easy to recharge the earpieces (although the cord to recharge the charging case itself is way too short). * Price seems to be in the general area of most of these devices. However, the manufacturer's site (Dellona.co) is offering the same units for less. Cons: * At most higher settings, the earpieces had horrible feedback squeals. The left earpiece began feedback at about the 4th or 5th level (of 8 levels), while the right earpiece began feedback at the 3rd level (of 8), so was unusable above level 2. The feedback squeals are loud and painful and cannot be good for your hearing. * At the highest non-feedback levels, desired sound levels weren't improved over the ambient sound. Taking out the earpiece didn't noticeably change what I heard with the earpiece installed (except that the audio artifacts from the earpiece ceased). * At any level, the earpieces had a noticeable background hum. * At the highest non-feedback levels - when it seemed like the earpieces were "working", there was an odd white noise undertone when listening to voices from the TV - like someone rustling paper whenever someone was talking. This effect only occurred with speech from the TV. * At a level where audio from the TV appeared to be enhanced, whenever my wife spoke, her voice was loudly amplified - like she was yelling - while the TV audio still sounded low. The microphone pickups seem to over-amplify nearby sound sources, rather than increasing all sounds equally. Warning - the documentation on the devices says that they are capable of 103 dB audio - presumably that they can produce up to 103 dB amplification of sounds. Per the CDC (cdc.gov) sounds over 100 dB can cause hearing damage after 15 minutes. If you do wear them, make sure the volume level isn't any higher than it needs to be. I have returned these. I have also scheduled to meet with an audiologist - I may need much more expensive hearing aids than these. ... show more

    • Actually better than my $3000 aifs
These have more natural sound and a better volume control than my fitted hearing aids. They have a tendency to work themselves loose when talking or eating but so did my more expensive in-canal aids. They continually need to be re-adjusted in the ear as you wear them. Sometimes this produces some back noise or slight squealing. Not as comfortable as fitted hearing aids for me but that is to be expected for the lower cost. My hearing loss is mild according to the audiologist so these amplifiers work well in my case. They work for me in certain circumstances but I prefer not to wear them all the time. Worth the cost but limited in their use. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. With this D30 hearing aid model I can hear so much better than I could with the aid I paid $3000 for that was supposed to have been adjusted to my hearing problems by an expert. I am impressed by how good the Dellona D30 hearing aids work and will be happy to continue using them. I love the rechargeable batteries which means I don't have to be replacing batteries all the time. ... show more

    • My return of the purchase price and working aides!!
The hearing aides will not stop whistling in the wind, I tried several times and they kept whistling. I returned the items by UPS on 7/19/23 and today is 7/31/23 and they have not returned my purchase price. They seem be one of those companies that are not honest to work with!!

Bought this for my 92 yr old mom who is very hard of hearing. Had to return it. Whenever she increased the volume to try to hear, it whistled very loudly.
