This car is really fast and fun to drive for the money. It has some great metal internal parts that make it definitely worth the money. I would say this is a good entry level RC car that's fun for kids and adults. However it does some issues you might want to consider. The Battery is a Li-Ion and it's basically trash compared to a LiPo. Don't even try to use the provided chargers they are literally garbage. So you will have to buy a normal charger and probably regular LiPo 3s batteries. The shocks are not oil filled. It leads to some traction problems but they are okay. The battery straps it came with broke in a few days that's another added expense. The receiver range on this car is pretty crappy. You can't drive it more than 50 yards without it loosing signal. Overall this car has a lot of positives and a lot of negatives. It is really fast and fun but it does have some drawbacks to this package deal. ... show more

This is better than beginner quality. The shocks are not oil filled but grease filled. Do yourself a favor and spend a 20 on oil filled shocks. You'll be happy that you did. The vehicle is fast and durable. It's also easy to control and has a long range from the radio. I purchased this as a way to get into the hobby on the cheap. In my opinion, this car is worth more than the asking price. I bought one for a coworker and now he's hooked. Again, this is better than beginner quality.
