Description

DD Bache 4X4 is now available with its unique multi-cam pattern from the DD Hammocks range. After almost 16 months of research and testing colours, we are very pleased to present our new camouflaged tarpaulin. We learned a lot about the color "camo" during the creation process and our goal to create a tarpaulin that combines both extreme and forest environments. The tarpaulin can be used on grass as well as in mountains and other outdoor environments. We are very happy with the end result and we hope you will like it too! DD Tarpaulin 4x4 is perfect for housing a group of people. The tarpaulin is massive and even larger than our XL tarpaulin. Much better suited for groups and as work areas rather than for a person's shelter. Like all our other tarpaulins this tarpaulin has 19 attachment points and can be set up in many different configurations.

  • 13 feet X 13 feet.
This tarp is huge and will do a typical A frame shelter at about 5 feet high and about 5 feet wide. Weight isn't much more than the 3x3 tarp which I have as well. But it is a bit unwieldy for one person if there's a stiff breeze while setting up or taking down and packing up. For it's size it's rather light weight. ... show more

  • Large sturdy tarp. Worth the cost.
This is a useful, well made, and versatile tarp. Large enough to become a ground and hammock tent. It is a great value for the price paid.

  • Great tarp, well constructed, plenty large
Bought this to use with a eno hammock and it’s great plenty of room for the hammock and all my gear room for hanging out and no worries with rain. Plenty of timeouts for multiple setups. This is pretty big and I could have gotten away with a 3x3 if I was worried with weight but I preferred the larger size as weight was not an issue ... show more

  • Tarp is good, stuff sack is crap.
Love the tarp, but the stuff sack ripped the first time I went to store the tarp. Too tight a fit.

  • READ BEFORE BUYING SOMETHING ELSE!!!!
This is my Second DD tarp... in the past I have used... DD 3x3 olive, Warbonnets Superfly and Cloudburst, Hammock Gears Journey, Hennessy Hammocks Hex, Aqua Quests Defender and various ENO flys as well as military surplus and Chinese knock offs over the years. I have sold / traded all of them and I keep going back to the DD products. I destroyed my DD 3x3 in a bad wind storm on a mountain top here in CO USA (my fault) but it had served me very well for over 8 years! I went with the DD 4x4 MC this time for more coverage. I am a 6' tall hammock camper and use an 11' hammock. The 3x3 was good enough but I had to watch the hammock ends closely so they didn't stick out one way or the other and rain could get to them when in "House" mode... Pitched in the center along the ridgeline loops with the ends pulled in making "doors" and those being closed against the wind. The extra coverage is EXACTLY what I needed! I can't be happier. There are plenty of reviews elsewhere so I thought I would just add some pics comparing it to other camo gear I have... Coyote Brown, Woodland, US Multicam (coated poncho) and Flectarn (my fav). It's darker than expected and IMHO that's even better! ALSO>>>> I ordered it on Thursday and it was at my door Monday! If you are new to this... just buy a DD... you can't go wrong! ... show more

  • I added pull outs, now it's perfect
Great camping tarp. Review videos on YouTube are funny with Great Britain accents. 13'x13' is a monster yet its light for its size and easy to manage with just one person. It's not noisy when moving around.

  • Very large, 13-6 x 13-6
Great great tarp, if you need coverage this is the one. I use it for my hammock, shade area, cooking area, all things shelter. Strong durable and sheds water like it's not even raining.

  • Updated after 6 month failure.
The media could not be loaded. Buying tarps has become an expensive, disappointing experience. I'm my experience they are pricey and disposable. After 4 months of use and around 2 of dry storage the tarp just ripped under low load and no wind when I set it up. See pictures and video. I cannot find a way to contact the seller about possible l warranty and would like them to make this good. Only 4 months of use is not acceptable. Original, glowing review from a couple of months ago: I just spent 4 or more months in the blazing sun with this and a couple of other cheaper, smaller tarps. The $40 3x3 (10'x10') tarps did not fair well. The sun really affected the fabric and they got bleached out on the south facing side. One of them ripped from moderate wind but also tore through when handling after the sun damaged the fabric. The d&d tarp may have faded a bit but I'm not sure since there are not "tan lines" like on the cheaper tarps, it just seems a little lighter in color especially compared to the stuff sack that wasn't in the elements. It also beat my experience with the other more expensive option on the market. I got a bad tarp from them and they said "it's fine", it wasn't. My only desire would be better quality guy lines and pegs and a bigger stuff sack but I'm pretty happy with this tarp. ... show more
