This tent has plenty of space inside it! Living in high elevation and in the mountains of Colorado, we have very extreme climates. I have had a chance to use this tent, so far, only with a Mr. Heater (propane tent heater), and it held heat very good for a tent. I can't wait until this winter to see how this will do with a wood stove! The set up is very easy and this is coming from a first time Bell tent user. Tons of videos about how to do that so I won't bore you with the details. In the pictures I attached you can see that I didn't attach the entry rope, but that was only to show the size of the entry way. It is pretty stable without that guide rope also, and so if it isn't too windy of a day, you could get away without using it if you wanted to. I hadn't ever seen a Bell tent before I began my research into a 4 season tent. I am so glad I stumbled across this style of tent! it is very nice looking, and the material feels like it will last a very long time! The people at Danchel are top notch! I had to contact them a few times, and they are quick to respond and help as much as they can! Their customer service is outstanding! If you are looking at this type of tent, you probably already know that they are not backpacking type tents. The description says it weighs 84lbs, and the bag has handles that feel like it can handle the weight just fine. I picked up the ground sheet for under the tent also, for when it is more serious weather. The ground sheet grommets match up perfectly with the tent stake grommets. This is going to be a fun summer! Lots of questions from other campers when they see this tent going up, and they usually cant believe how fast we are done setting it up. ... show more

I am so happy with this tent that I convinced a friend to buy one! 1 person can set up the tent in about 30 minutes after the initial set up (which only takes slightly longer because you have to get the ties set up). We tried it out and it kept us dry and mostly bug free (as long as the bottom zipper for the door was closed as well) despite the fact that I'm pretty sure we put it up on or extremely near an ant hill (oops!). I definitely recommend getting the tarp that is shaped to go under it to keep the bottom clean if nothing else. We're about to try it in extremely hot weather, and I'm hoping the windows on all sides will allow us to catch what little breeze there may be. We opted for the 16ft diameter because we have a baby now and want to continue expanding our family. I love the fact that I can walk upright nearly everywhere inside the tent because that was a pet peeves of mine with our last one. I looked at a lot of bell tents before choosing Danchel's. One of the main reasons I went with Danchel, was the 900D fabric, much higher than any other tent like it. The price was reasonable. I have the Poly, which does not come with a stove flap. The set up of tent was very simple, just a little patience. I weather tested the tent, before using it (which is always a smart idea). Held up great in high winds and rainy conditions. The windows did leak a little on the wind bound side. The floor is perfect, very nice that it zips off. All the zippers are pretty heavy duty. I did a ton of research before buying this tent and I’m really happy with the product. The tent is a real show stopper. Pros - Quality Materials. Super thick floor and strong guy ropes/stakes. - Very easy to set up. Despite the sparse directions, one person can set this up in about 15 minutes. Cons - Although not pure white, the canvas does show stains from tree debris, dirt, etc. and it’s not the easiest to clean. Overall I would 100% buy again.     • Not a cotton tent.
The second sentence in the item description plainly states that this is a cotton canvas tent. However reading further it also states that this is a nylon tent. While I personally believe that the nylon is more durable, it was a little confusing. The tent itself is everything that I had hoped for. It is incredibly easy to set up and has proven to be very durable. The supplied stove Jack in the sidewall is non-functional as a stove Jack, but I found it very useful when piping in a small diesel heater from the outside. The zippers seem to be of fair quality. The supplied guyline tensioners are also a really huge help for adjustment. ... show more

Ok this tent is AMAZING! I was definitely worried buying a tent like this from amazon, but I’m so glad we did! My husband and I are both taller (he’s 6’ 7” and I’m 5’ 10”) so it was SO nice to have a tent we could stand up in and move around in! And it was SO roomy! Which was nice. We bought the Teton XXL cots and they fit easily in this tent. We also had some storage bins, a table, and our dogs crate and still had room to walk around and move around. Our first night of camping it POURED rain! We did get some flooding on the floor but that was our fault. We didn’t set it up properly (we realized the next day). So we re-set up there tent and then it worked perfectly for the rest of the trip! The nights got down to 40 degrees and we still stayed plenty warm. The zippers and material all feel very heavy duty and great quality. We won’t be doing any intense camping (like camping in the snow or weather below freezing) so I’m not sure if this tent is suitable for extreme weather. But for family fun and camping in the woods it’s great! I highly recommend and definitely think it’s worth the money. ... show more
