The unit overall is quite nice. It works quietly so there is no worry of waking anyone up if you're trying to get in some exercise at a crazy hour. The set-up is quick and easy. You get a couple of tools with your machine for use in case you need them, there isn't much set-up needed. The stepper has protected feet so you don't need to worry about messing up your hardwood floors. The instructions are pretty basic which is great, but it took me a while to figure out that the added tools weren't because I needed to do something that wasn't outwardly clear to me. A few issues I have with this are mere notes, but they are worth mentioning. * I truly can't tell there's a difference in the "𝘼𝙙𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙥 𝙃𝙚𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩" element. I can feel a slight resistance, but not a difference in the height of the steps. Visually, this adjusts the rolling tension mechanism right below the stepper which, i believe, adds tension. The added tension isn't outwardly that noticeable to me, but I have powerful legs. * The resistance bands aren't clearly resistance bands. They feel more like stabilizers. They are called "ropes" in the instructions and nothing about an exercise machine should be expected to be intuitive. To reiterate: The bands aren't just for stablity, they are for an upper body workout while you use the stepper. * Be aware that the rolling mechanism of that "intensity" element can fall out if the tension knob isn't yet on the machine to keep the rolling part in a tightened state. As I was busy trying to make sure that the feet tubes were stable for use, the rolling mechanism fell out on my bed. It was super greasy with silicon grease that it got all over my bedspread. This is fixable by just leveling out the foot pedals and sliding the tension cord around the rolling mechanism, then tightening the knob in front to bring up that intensity. I am embarrassed to admit how long it took me to realize that fix. That wouldn't be an issue if there were better instructions. Overall, it's a great workout for a great price. I was thrilled and grateful to receive this DAEYEGIM Stair Stepper with Resistance Bands through the Amazon Vine program to try out. After a long and challenging illness and treatment, my own stair stepper was instrumental in my recovery, so I knew this would be perfect for my daughter. She's a busy mom of four, working from home, and traveling frequently for work, so gym time is very hard to come by. The stepper arrived swiftly and well-packaged, and she was immediately impressed by its quality and ease of use. It required no installation and was ready to use right out of the box. Its compact design fits perfectly into her busy household without taking up much space. The quality is top-notch, with 330lbs loading capacity, an LDC monitor, and adjustable step height - there is a stride adjustment knob at the bottom of the stepper so you can adjust the height of the stepper to suit your individual needs. It's lightweight yet sturdy, and surprisingly quiet, allowing for early morning or late-night workouts without disturbing her children and her spouse. After using it for almost two months, starting with just a few minutes a day and gradually increasing her workout, she's seen remarkable results. The addition of strong resistance bands has been a huge plus, engaging muscles she didn't even know she had. It's perfect for both beginners and more advanced users. The burn she felt the next day is a welcome reminder of its effectiveness. This stepper has made exercise something she now looks forward to, and she loves that she can use it while sitting at her desk, seamlessly fitting into her daily routine.     • The bands could use a bit more resistance, but the stepper is nice

This will overheat if you go crazy on it. Turn the resistance all the way up and step away and you'll have issues. That's only if you really go at it though. The only issue I have in using it is the bands are a bit floppy. I've stretched them every which way, and the only way I can get any resistance out of them is by stretching them well above my head. I'm 6'1". If you are a good bit shorter than I am, you probably aren't going to get much resistance out of them at all. It would be better if I were really tall, I guess. There is a tiny bit of assembly. You just have to attach the bands. It takes two seconds. You have to screw in the resistance screw, but that's even quicker. The LR44 battery is already in there and ready to go. Speaking of that battery, it will remember how many steps you have taken until you reset it, even if you leave it sitting unused for days. Well, it will until the battery dies, I'm sure. As far as actually using it goes, it works quite nicely. You can definitely dial in enough resistance to build muscle if that's your thing. If you dial it back out, it is much easier to move. That's perfect for getting your steps in. There's no way I could do tens of thousands of steps on this thing with the resistance all the way up, but it would be considerably more possible with the resistance down. It's still not going to be as easy as a treadmill, since you are still pushing a bit instead of just walking. Overall, it's pretty good. I would like a bit more resistance out of the bands. Then again, they are just held on with a carabiner. I could probably just replace them with something else. ... show more
