This label maker is a quality product. However, there is a steep learning curve required in understanding how to operate it. Not nearly as simple as the vintage dymo label maker you may be familiar with. The instruction sheet is large and comprehensive. I even printed a label for the top of the machine to remind myself how to print multiple labels because it's not intuitive. That label, seen in the picture, is in the default font and medium size. This thing has so many options and capabilities I'm sure I will never use most of them. I really like the fact that it can operate on batteries making it readily accessible and handy when needed without having to plug it in. The printing and labels are top-notch although it took me a while to figure out that the backing is split lengthwise on the label tape. It will print an unbelievable amount of special characters and symbols. The only two caveats I have is that it takes a long time to figure out how to use it and to read the display you need a lot of light because it is not backlit. The labels are so nice I'm sure you will end up labeling things that really don't need labels, like maybe your spouse. ... show more

This label machine is compact and very user friendly. Just insert the strap supplied and connect the cable. You have the option of selecting both the font size and type. One of the greatest things about the machine is the font spacing can be adjusted which saves tape. I’ve already used it to label all of my product bins and jars and drawers. Since using this label maker I can easily find all my products. I can’t recommend this label maker enough as always it’s a quality, easy to use product. ... show more

    • Great Machine but No Support for Japanese & Korean
I loved the features, performance, and print quality of the machine that I received. However, I was under the impression that I’d be able to also type in Japanese and Korean which I found wasn’t a feature this label maker supported after extensive demoing. Will be returning this product and purchasing the D480BT model instead as it should support Japanese and Korean as listed in the language support image shown in the product description. ... show more

I struggled with a handheld label-maker for years. It really didn't work. I finally decided to buy one (after literal years of looking, probably three.) I'm so glad I waited to find this one. It is awesome. Love the USB-C cable. The printing options are phenomenal. It even prints barcodes (I now have four barcode labels for coriander, but that's okay!) The media could not be loaded. Several problems with this label machine! First the font is very small even though I have it set on bold, large setting. Second, you are supposed to be able to hit shift and then the red symbols above the numbers to print the #%!?$, etc. that doesn’t work. You can go to the symbol key but it takes a while to scroll all the choices to find what you want. Also the power button is faulty. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Unfortunately, I have been out of town a lot and I just tried to use it today and now it is to late to return it. I would definitely not recommend this machine!!!! ... show more

This is an extremely easy-to-use label maker. You don't need an app or computer connection. It simply works. The keyboard is intuitive. Changing fonts, sizes, adding borders, or symbols is at the touch of a button. Definitely a high recommendation from someone who now has 3 label makers!!!
