    • Wonderful Bike Trailer
This trailer is great. Use often with my e-bike, to carry usually 150-300 lbs of food and supplies. There is minimal assembly -- install Quick Release hubs on wheels and then mount them to frame. The front and back 'gates' mounting was the only problem I had -- the screws opposite the pins are too big to fit through the slightly misaligned holes; I bought a couple of thinner pins with clips. The big wheels are great and the trailer really does handle a big, heavy load nicely. I saw some mention that it's not meant to go over 10 mph, but I have no issues with it going faster. When unloaded, it does bounce around and makes a little noise. Easy to tie down gear with the nice framing. And once I put down the first layer of boxes within the wheel base and frame, boxes can now be put on with a wider footprint, straddling the frame and wheels. The price seemed very reasonable, especially comparing to similar ones that could not carry as heavy a load as well. Other ones I considered from Bikes at Work are really nice, but were too big and quite a bit more expensive. Followup edit: I broke the hitch/yoke due to carrying more than 300 pounds -- which is the stated limit. I replaced with a BikesAtWork hitch which has worked much better. I've been really struggling with the wheels on this trailer. The wheel hubs have needed constant adjusting and the wheels keep coming off the trailer. I'm still trying to find a permanent solution to this. PPS: Bought smaller wheels, from Bikes At Work. Modified trailer mounting arms and then bolted wheels to trailer. Trailer appears to be well built (5 stars there), but had no chance to test it because as soon as I inflated one tire to 40 PSI (per the PSI printed on the tire itself using a new pump with a built in gauge) the tire bead peeled itself away from the rim and then the innertube exploded. (Just as I was bending down to try to let some air out of it before it exploded, it exploded right in my face) So... I'm afraid to inflate the other tire now. Maybe the tire material itself is out of spec or maybe the rim is out of spec, or it wasn't seated correctly when I inflated it. It looked like it was to me, I pressed down on it after inflating it and it looked good to me. I walked a way for a second and came back and just saw the tire slowly peeling away from the rim and then when I bent down to let some air out of it so it wouldn't blow.... it blew right in my face. I don't know what the problem was, but... now what? UPDATE - Found the issue. Defective tire. Take a look at the tire rim lock in the last 2 photos. The rim has an imperfection. Its a ridge from welding the rim together that doesn't allow the tire to seat in the beadlock. That let the tire slip off the rim and then the tube exploded dust an rubber in my face :) 2 Stars for near heart attack. Watch your tires bead position carefully as you air them up. UPDATE#2 - Contacted the seller by the contact info on the shipping box and they're sending a replacement wheel/tire. Good customer service and the trailer itself actually appears to be pretty decent quality/strong. Update#3 - Replacement tire arrived 2 days later. Changed stars to 5 stars for good customer service and good product. ... show more

ive upgraded the tires and wheels and lined it with plastic and added fenders so i can carry a lot of weight and people..the bigger wheels are stronger and make a big difference as the factory ones are not that good the fenders prevent entanglements and dust out my only complaint is the hitch latch was loose had to modify to keep it tight where the disconnect pin to fold it is loose and i had to modify this is the second one ive owned i sold the first one as someone liked it so much as i modified it like this one its a great platform just needs a bit of work and cheaper then any others out there.. ... show more

    • Cheap trailer, not worth the money
This trailer got off to a bad start as it showed up beat up with a torn box and some minor broken parts, but that wasn't probably the manufacturer's fault. But the holes in the wheels were drilled poorly and shredded two tire valves before I figured out that was the problem and filed them to be wider and smoother. The hardware like wheel clamps all seem pretty cheap, and the metal rusts easily. This all might be expected for a cheap trailer but at this price I would buy from a reputable brand. ... show more

    • Took quite a bit of work to get it up and running. Solid/large; Heavy/slow.
I took me a few hours of filing away metal to get the gate pins to work. Then it took some filing to get the wheel channels open and aligned. Then it took a while to get the rims anywhere near true. That's a lot of work to get the product up and working. It's solidly built and can hold a lot. I like the connection method to my velomobile. It feels slower than its weight warrants; possibly low quality wheel bearings, probably misaligned wheels. After about 6 uses the wheel bearings have grown loose. Each tire can wobble about a half centimeter side to side. Each load has been under 7 miles, on smooth roads, and well below the 275 pound limit. ... show more
