My husband and I are shopping for bikes with our Christmas bonus money. However, we quickly realized that we were never going to fit 2 bikes in our 2 car garage with two cars and multiple storage shelves. I started looking for a bike storage system and found THIS great bike rack. We managed to carve out a few feet of wall space, and viola! We now can store 2 bikes in the same footprint as one bike sitting on the floor (see pic 1). This rack is sturdy and well made with thick metal tubes that slide together and then lock in place with screws (see pic 5). Because of this ingenious design this rack assembles in minutes. The bike frame cradles tighten with a wheel on the back side which allows them to be placed anywhere on the upright, and also be turned laterally for perfect placement of your specific bike frames. Move them to where you want them on the uprights, and turn the wheel to lock in place (see pic 2). The hooks are coated with a thick sleeve made of bright red silicon which protects your bike frame's finish, and makes them easy to see for quick placement of your bike (see pic 4). There is a Velcro strap with a screw hole rivet that is used to attach the bike rack to the wall for stability (see pic 3). The strap can easily be removed from the rack if necessary or turned around. This provides flexibility when attaching it to the wall. It can be attached above or below the top bar. This may be useful if you are trying to use or avoid a wall stud. It comes with hardware to mount it to drywall, but you could replace this with a wood screw if mounting to a wall stud. Honestly, the strap is just a safety measure as the stand is designed to use gravity to hold it in place. There are 2 rubber bumpers on the back of the top bar to protect your wall from damage where the rack leans on the wall (see pic 3). There are also nice sturdy foot pads on the feet to protect your floor. This rack could be used inside the house or in the garage. It's that nice. The powder coating is impeccable, and the design is pleasing and unobtrusive. This would be a great solution for apartment dwellers with multiple bikes. My husband, who is much more critical than I am, really likes this bike rack. He was very impressed with the design, and so am I. To the designers, well done! Now I can't wait to bring home my new bike. The retail price at the time of this review is $55.98 and there is a $3.00 coupon on the product page. This seems like a very fair price for this wonderfully designed bike rack. If you are looking for a bike storage system that is intelligently designed, aesthetically pleasing, and won't break the bank, I recommend this one! ... show more

    • Excellent stand for your bikes,..But too short IMO..
First of all, I have three bikes that all must live in the garage. Except my newest full suspension mountain bike that for now has found a home in the entryway. I know my wife will not be happy with this for long, so I was looking for a solution and came across this stand. I don't like to hang my bikes from hooks in the ceiling, especially if they have hydraulic brakes as I have heard that can cause problems over time. Not sure if this is true (it depends on who you ask) but I don't want to take the chance. Anyway, this stand should fit two of my bikes that do have hydraulic brakes and the third is an old bike with "V" brakes and it can be on the hook. This rack comes so well packed you would think it is covered in gold. Each tube has its own cloth sleeve to keep it from getting scratched and a large canvas bag for the "U" shaped piece at the top. The instructions are very straight forward and it is easy to put together by yourself. The hardest part is finding a wall stud to screw into for the top. I ended up using a Pipe brace instead of the Velcro strap provided. The included support arms have a nice rubberized/silicone surface which should not scratch your bikes frame when mounted and are fully adjustable along the length of the stand and can easily accommodate bikes with slanted top tubes. The one and only problem that I had was that the bike stand was too short for my two XL size mountain bikes to fit. This is not something wrong with the stand it is simply my personal situation. I have reached out to this company to see if they can send me 2 extra pieces of the straight tubes so I can extend it, but I have not yet heard from them. Will keep you posted on that. Bottom line... this is a very good, well made, strong and sturdy wall stand to hold two normal size bikes and I am very happy with the product and very impressed with the way it was so thoughtfully packed. The powder coating job is impeccable, and the bright red rubber sleeves do a good job of holding the bikes in place. Assembly: Assembly was much easier than expected, only 6 screws needed to be put in place (7 if you count the wall anchor). The arms for the bikes also needed to be slid in place and they came pre-assembled. Took about 15 minutes to set the whole thing up, including setting the arms for the bikes. All the tools were included. Build quality: Very sturdy once the bikes are on. The rubber feet help the stand stay in place and it feels rock solid even though it’s only attached to the wall via fabric. The only way to secure the stand to the wall is by screwing a velcro strap into the wall. I was skeptical of the strength of it, but after putting the bikes on I realized I really didn't need it. The strap is more of a safety, but I still would have preferred a metal tab. Use: Adjusting the hooks is quick and they will hold on well, there is a screw on the back that will tighten the clamp to the tube. I did notice that even when tightened the hooks rotate, but they do not slide down. The rubber is nice and thick and will keep the bikes from sliding down, it will also protect the bikes from scratches. Conclusion: I recommend this stand, it has saved lots of space in the garage and I was impressed by the packaging and ease of setup. This bike stand works great! Super easy to assemble! I love that it stands against the wall without hardware even! The hooks are adjustable to each bikes ideal, making the detail oriented person very happy! Im very glad to have this, as it leans against the wall sturdily and can be fixated there easily if needed.     • Fantastic space saver
I got this rack to give my wife a little more breathing room in the garage, and it's fantastic. It's easy to assemble and quick to install, and definitely sturdy enough for two lightweight street bikes. We now have a little more square footage in the garage, which we are definitely grateful for!
