I love it! The instruction manual for actually loading your quilt is well done. The instructions are very clear with pictures. You even get a practice panel. Very sturdy and well made. I’m so impressed. My husband had a little trouble putting it together.

I am very impressed with the Grace Cutie Breeze! I've been making larger quilts and had pretty much maxed out my sewing machine's capacity. I wanted something to accommodate larger projects but don't really have space for a long arm. The Cutie Breeze is the perfect solution for me. It arrived well packaged and included very clear instructions for assembly. Total assembly time was about two hours. The instructions also gave excellent guidance on how to assemble your quilt prior to loading onto the frame, which I really appreciated as I've never used any sort of hoop frame or long arm quilting machine before. The frame also came with a practice panel, which I definitely needed since this is all new to me. I was so glad to have something to practice on instead of having to come up with a learning project on my own. I opted to purchase cloth leaders so that I didn't waste as much backing fabric. Hoop frames and long arms require more backing fabric than a traditional sewing machine, but leader cloth can be a great reusable alternative. Once I had my leaders attached the next step was to place my sewing machine (a Bernina 830) onto the sliding carriage. This is where the 38 pound weight of my sewing machine is a bit of a downside. Every time I want to use this frame (and every time I'm done using this frame) I have to lift the machine on and off the frame. I guess it's good exercise! The carriage has adjustable stops to keep your machine from sliding off the carriage and make sure it's aligned squarely. Next was attaching my practice quilt to the frame. (Batting and backing fabric are not included). I did find this a bit challenging the first time but once I had done it a few times I got the hang of it. Just plan a little extra time to initially learn how to set up and load your quilt. From there it was time to start gliding the carriage around your quilt top in whatever patterns you would like. This was the hard yet fun part of the frame. The carriage glides incredibly smoothly, even with a heavy sewing machine installed. The slightest push or pull on the carriage will move the machine. At first that was difficult and my lines were pretty wobbly, but with practice I got smoother at moving the machine and my lines got straighter. This will definitely take time to perfect and I'm not ready to quilt a "real" project yet, but the practice panel will make it easy to continue to learn without feeling like I'm making a mess or wasting fabric. I'm so happy with this frame and the doors it opens for me. ... show more
