This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Raptor Liner is a protective surface that is described as forgiving and easy to apply, resulting in a durable and rugged coating. Users note that preparation and patience are key to achieving a great final look. The product is lauded for its heavy-duty protective property and versatility in usage, with experiences spanning from coating truck beds to painting steel off-road bumpers.

Pros

  • πŸ”¨ Easy to spray on and requires no prior experience or expertise.
  • πŸ”§ Provides a durable, rugged and thick protective surface.
  • 🚚 Versatile and works well on different surfaces, from truck beds to bumpers.
  • πŸ‘ The finish can be adjusted, providing a more 'rough-like' or smoother finish.
  • πŸ’² A cost-effective alternative to professional services, saving users significant amounts.

Cons

  • ⏰ The preparation and application process can be time-consuming.
  • πŸ“ Some users note the coverage is half of the claimed amount, implying the need to buy more than initially estimated.
  • πŸ”Ž The entire process requires patience and attention to detail to achieve a great look.

Should I Buy It?

If a durable, cost-effective, and versatile protective coating solution is what you’re seeking, then Raptor Liner is a great pick. It would demand some degree of effort and patience in its application, but the overall high-quality results seem to make it worth considering.

  • Do-It-Yourself! This makes it painless, with some room for error.
Size: 8 Quart Kit Color: Tintable
I'm very happy I decided to take the leap of faith and Raptor Paint my truck! After watching hours & hours of youtube videos, I purchased the 8L kit and some tint and went for it. Turned out terrific, I couldn't be happier, and the actual application portion of this was not complicated. Watch some DIY videos for yourself, and if you're looking for a durable (in my opinion great looking too) coating go for it! Make sure your prep is meticulous -- sand/scrape, wash, degrease, tape, cover, apply adhesion promoter, and self-etching primer as necessary. One the hard work (prep) is done, you really do just mix, shake, and spray. I sprayed at 90ish PSI and got a terrific finish. My only regrets are: (1) I wish I had bought 3oz tint for each bottle of tintable bedliner. I thought I could get away with a "base" layer of bedliner, since I read reviews stating the tintable bedliner is "white." It's not. It is more like a translucent finish, and you really don't get a "base" at all without tinting. I also found, after purchasing, that kits are available on Amazon with tints included at a discounted price. Otherwise, its $20 per bottle of 3oz tint, and 1 3oz bottle of tint is required per liter of liner. I used 8L on my truck, but had I immediately started spraying with the tint in my liner I probably would have only used ~6 liters. Oh well. (2) Spray evenly! If possible. Given it was my first time, I'm happy with the results, but I did over-spray some areas relative to others. Watch a quick DIY/How-To video and you'll be fine. (3) TAPE, TAPE, TAPE - just take your time, be thorough, cover everything 'cause this stuff REALLY sticks! And that's about it. For $300 I got a full, durable paint job. That beats a $2,000 - $3,000 job from a paint shop AND i bet it will last longer. This stuff rocks! ... show more

  • Amazing product!
Size: 8 Quart Kit Color: Tintable
I had a county worker rearrange the front end of my old Dakota pickup last summer. This summer, I got around to buying some salvage parts to fix the damage. I also had a retired paint & body man I know to spray the whole thing for me in UPOL Raptor liner. I cannot say with words just how thrilled I am with this product. Everyone tells me they like it, it sheds dirt with just a quick spray of water, and it was C-H-E-A-P to do! Six bottles completely coated my truck and gave it a very durable coating that a paint roller and some extra Raptor liner, tint, and hardener will fix in case of any light damage. I also plan to rip out the loose/sagging cloth headliner so I can Raptor liner the headliner board for a permanent solution that wind won't affect if I decide to ride with the windows down. Check out the myriad YouTube videos on Raptor Liner paint jobs. See for yourself folks, it looks amazing! ... show more

  • I love this stuff
Size: 8 Quart Kit Color: Tintable
Really impressed and happy with the results of Raptor liner. I got the tintable product which I would recommend in a heartbeat if you're wanting anything off the beaten path. I got the tint at a local car paint store which saved about 50% vs buying the 3ounce bottles anywhere online. So much work involved in roughing up the paint but once it's prepped the painting part is just pure fun and easy! To do my entire truck, bedliner, and steel rack I ended up using 14 bottles. So don't think you're going to get it done with a single 8 liter kit. Go ahead and purchase two kits (or smaller quantities to save a little money). I made the stripe near the rear of the truck by shooting black first, letting it dry, then taping off what I wanted to keep. Shooting the beige over the taped off area. peeled off wonderfully, just make sure you have the tape fully down so no overspray can shoot under like happened to me in one small area. One thing I wish I had done was spray the inside jambs of my truck which you can see in one photo. If I were to do it again I would have taken the time and likely used those other 2 bottles on the jambs. I highly recommend having a large air compressor. I shot the whole truck at 100psi but smaller parts at 60 to 80. Think I would have taken more time on the truck at 70ish psi if I were to do it all again. Holding up great two weeks in! Soft to the touch and hoping it lasts a lifetime here on out because it's a ton of work! Totally worth it and love the product! ... show more

  • I'd buy it 100 times
Size: 8 Quart Kit Color: Tintable
This is a great product, goes on easy, comes with the gun, regulator and all you need to make a stand out project. I did shoot it at higher than recommended PSI to make the finish a little less rough. Careful prep ensures great adhesion and this stuff is Super tough!

Size: 8 Quart Kit Color: Tintable
Works great. Mine started to come off in some spots. I think its because I didnt sand hard enough. There were hard to reach spots I messed. I think it was user error. But the product seems great and is easy to use

  • 63 Grumman step van
Size: 8 Quart Kit Color: Tintable
Used both tinted liner on the walls, adding a little of the color paint for the exterior, and black on the floor. Gun sprays good. I have been using this product for a few years now with success. Product is durable. Going to do the roof exterior with white raptor liner.

  • Great product
Size: 8 Quart Kit Color: Tintable
For a jeep Cherokee xj I used 8 liter bottles. That is two coats. You will need one bottle of tint for each liter bottle of paint. The supplies gun worked good. I would recommend buy a spare spray gun of you get the 8 or 10 liter package. It is hard to keep it clean and will clog after several uses. I tried the cheap harbor freight spray gun. The quality was horrible I ended up rolling on the last layer. Raptor liner Worked great. I should have done this years ago. ... show more
