The new design of this micro blade is flimsy. When you press down on the surface you can feel that it isn’t well made. It’s too narrow and I doubt it will last long. Very disappointed with the quality of this micro blade.

    • This is a great budget choice, but not a lifetime choice.
This grater is easy on the budget because it offers twice as many cutting sizes without costing as much as two graters. On the downside, if you want to use both grater sizes, its awkward to separate the resulting grated food from whatever you had previously grated on the other side. Also it is pretty long so its a bit awkward to fit in a utensil drawer. The plastic shield is necessary for use, but gets in the way during washing. In the end it does what its supposed to to do at a good price, so I like it. But one day, when I settle into a more permanent kitchen and want to buy nice stuff, this gadget is going in the trash. ... show more

From nutmeg to mozzarella cheese this grater has it handled. Great control if using hand held or resting on a bowl or deep plate. We use this product 3-6 times a week, it has still remained a very sharp edge after a year. Makes parmesan nice and fluffy and will grate cinnamon to the perfect dust.

This is Avery useful and sharp grater. It grates hard spices like nutmeg and sharp cheeses.. I have also used it with soft cheeses. It can also be used for zesting lemons and oranges. It will not grate cinnamon sticks.
