It taste great on venision steak cubes but I put it in ground venison and made it into jerky and it doesn't taste good unfortunately. I was trying to do a bulk batch in the same flavor as nesco maple bacon jerky seasoning. Tried it on some cubes of steak and we super happy with the flavor put it unto the grind meat and dry it just to be super disappointed. My fault not the seasonings. This isn’t an ordinary rub. It’s more of a desert topping. Super sweet with a definite maple bacon flavor. I used a savory base rub and then a layer of this on baby back ribs and it gave an explosion of sweet and savory flavor. This is one I will keep on hand at all times .
