It gets up to temperature quickly. It toasts and air fries like a champ. I love that the air fry basket sits elevated on a tray for convection circulation and grease and crumbs don't go everywhere. The controls are intuitive and easy to use.

While this is on the large side, especially for my NYC apartment, this appliance is amazing. My oven has been broken pretty much since I moved in to my apartment, so I bought this as an oven replacement and it is delivering that and more. It’s got great capacity, has cooked everything I threw at it in about 10 min or less, whether it’s air frying sweet potato fries or convection baking pizza dough or broiling the pizza for perfect browning or toasting up pita. Good convection and baking performance, not so good at making toast. In that, I do miss my trusty, 28 year old Black and Decker toaster oven. But for everything else, this Cuisinart is attractive, easy, and functionally solid. Dial design is easy. Some have criticized the door hinge having only ONE rivet, so I make it a rule to treat this door carefully. The unit gets *very hot* on the back and rear-top of the oven. Be careful it is not in contact with anything, and away from the wall when in use. I pull it out a few inches, push it back when I’m done and it has cooled.     • The best qualities in a toaster oven

Cuisinart is much better than the off name brands. It does not require a manual to turn on like the knock offs. The oven has a light inside; essential for making toast and waffles. Manual knobs for easy turn on. I have had at least 6 other brands in the last 10 years and those digital ones are junk. The off brands are thin, heat up the room and are impossible to get clean. The bottom tray slides out without having to open the door and wiggle it out of the bottom. The heating element is substantial on top and bottom; so even cooking through entire tray; no moving items to center. Inside height is adequate to keep tall items like a roasted chicken from being scorched. The flat space saver oven I had would smoke from grease sticking to top element; not this one. Door is sturdy; does not rattle and lays flat. Some cheap ones have door tilt down too low and tray falls out onto floor; burn risk to feet. ... show more

I love my new air fryer, grille, toaster oven. I have made a different item every day since I've received it, toast, baked biscuits, cookies, air fried chicken quarter, broiled burger and pork chops, also hand cut French fries. All came out great except biscuits but then I've never been much of a biscuit maker. It's very easy to clean, just soak the basket, grille or drip tray in sudsy water and wipe a soapy dishrag over the insides. My only complaint is the drip tray. From the first use it has been discoloring and looks like a cheap piece of metal. I have started lining it with foil. If Cuisinart would fix this problem, they would have a perfect second oven. But I'll still give you a five. ... show more

I waited almost a month to write this review. Pros: I’ve used this almost everyday since I had it. I’ve roasted two chickens, spatchcock and had delicious chicken in under 40 minutes. The air fryer basket is so much bigger than my original insta pot model, and for two of us, there’s room left over for anything I’ve cooked. Works great. Dials are a little wonky but turn them all the way to the right and work backwards to get to the setting you want. Being able to cook healthy dinners without heating up my kitchen is great. I think the last thing I actually made in it was toast and that worked out really well. Cons: every time I use it, I wipe it down with a wet cloth. Even using aluminum foil every time I use it, it’s hard to clean. I didn’t realize that the crumb tray also could collect grease and it was only when I preheated it a few days ago and there was a food smell that I investigated and pulled it out. The back of the tray was stained with grease. I pulled it out and tried to clean it. I ended up soaking it all night in baking soda and white wine vinegar. The same for the baking sheet, despite using foil it still has stains on it and while the soaking for both pieces helped, it’s not what I consider clean and it bothers me. You can’t use any abrasives on the trays or the inside of the oven so it’s a lot of wiping. I mentioned I cooked chicken twice and it splattered inside the oven, I mentioned it to someone and they said well don’t cook chicken, that’s ridiculous, I bought this to not use my oven when it’s 100 degrees outside! I think I’ll contact the company and see if I can buy another baking sheet and crumb tray to use when I bake because I won’t bake in that tray now, it’s just used as a rack to hold either the grill or air fry basket. So, yes it cooks amazing, it does not heat my kitchen, it looks great on the counter and the outside cleans easily, I wish it was easier to keep clean, and that’s a biggie for me, but I don’t regret buying it and I can’t complain about the quality of the product. ... show more
