This fan is very well made. It feels very sturdy and not flimsy. It has 6 blades for air movement that spin freely. It sits flat on our wood stove and doesn't take up a lot of room. It also has a hook on top if you wanted to hang it up. It has a temperature gage on it so you can see how much heat your woodstove is producing. This is placed on the front of the fan so you can easily read it. We haven't actually got to see how how much air it moves yet because it hasn't been cold enough to need to use our woodstove for heat yet but I expect it to move plenty of air. We had one like this from a different company last year that only had four blades on it and it didn't circulate the air well enough. My husband said then if it had two more blades it would be perfect. So when I found this one I ordered it right away. As soon as the temperature drops and we have a chance to actually give it a try I will update my review if it doesn't work as well as we anticipate. ... show more

I was a little concerned about fit as I have barrell heater but it can be screwed in. This makes a difference in the disbursement of heat from the stove.

I like that the fan works as advertised. The unit as a whole looks nice. The thermometer is off a little but I wasn't really counting on that anyway.

Im surprised how much heat it throws. I usually burn my news paper, mail and amazon boxes in the stove. I dont bother turning the fan on and thought this would be nice to just spread the bit of heat the 10 min burn makes. It made a noticeable difference in the living room. Usually the heat just goes up the chimney without the fan on. So im pretty dang happy about this actually working VERY well. Its a large living room too, goes into a hallways with several rooms. Got the heat all the way back to the rooms! Would work very well for smaller rooms/houses. Mine isnt very optimized for wood stove heating lol ... show more
