They block the light but pretty much no sound. I like the texture of the fabric but the color was definitely more tan than greyish white. The width also was shorter than what I ordered.

Like the length and look of these curtains. I've look locally and haven't found anything close for the price and look. One thing I noticed was the width of the curtains. I've has purchased some elsewhere and the width could of been a smidge more. These are a nice generous width. It blocks out the sunlight really good. The windows they are on aren't on a sunny side but the room is noticeably darker. The temperature of the room is better, especially with the cooler weather coming. The only thing I didn't like was taking the creases out. They recommend ironing them on a cool iron. I disregarded that and threw them in the washing machine on delicate and cool water and dried it on a low temperature with some dryer balls. The creases didn't really come out. Since I didn't have an ironing board the cardboard that was with the packaging was used. It's definitely not the best way to go but that seemed to work the best. So would recommend ironing on a low temp to get the wrinkles out. I didn't try a steamer, but that may work better. I had purchased a pair that was shorter and liked them so much a longer pair of curtains were ordered. I just wished on the shorter pair they offered a 54" length. I kept them as I rolled up the long ends at the bottom of the wide window sill to keep any drafts out. ... show more

These are better than I was expecting! Heavy, great at blackout and nice texture. I did have to iron out of the bag, but seem to be wrinkle free now as they hang.
