This review is for the White LED Strip Lights, CT CAPETRONIX 16.4ft 6000K Bright 300 LEDs Flexible Tape Lighting Kit. Pic shows light strip, some connectors, clips, and a power cord. Easy to install, easy to cut if needed. Light is bright. No on/off switch so you’ll need to add one if you want it. It does include the power cord - I noticed not all strip lights do. Amazon is asking me to review and rate the remote control - this item does not have that feature. I used part of the light strip under a cabinet above my coffee bar area. It lights up the area nicely. (The rest of the strip will be used in paper cut shadow boxes.) If you don’t need to connect them, you won’t need to worry about this part as they come out of the package ready to plug in and use. I needed to cut them and use a connector. The instructions don’t say if the strip goes over or under the pins in the connector so I had to try both ways to figure that part out (FYI, they go on top, which is unfortunate because they more easily just slide in under). But once I figured that out, they went together easily. They’ve been on pretty much 12 hours a day every day for a week or so now, so far so good. But obviously I can’t attest to their lifespan at this point. The adhesive seems to be good - again, I can’t say how long it might last - but there are little clips included in the package so if the strip adhesive gives out then I’ll use the clips. I have really nice more decorative under cabinet lights under a different bank of kitchen cabinets and they’re great - but they were much more expensive and more difficult to install. These strip lights are a simple and inexpensive way to add lighting to a space. Update Oct ‘21: The adhesive gave out after about 6 months. I should note that my espresso machine is right below the light strips and it is used almost daily. The heat and steam may have been a factor in the short adhesive life, hard to say for sure. But, it’s been about 7 months now and the lights themselves are working great still. They’re on all day almost daily. ... show more

Nice and very bright, exactly what I need under my kitchen cabinets. They are a cool toned light which is nice for prepping in the kitchen . Great quality, easy to put up, very sticky adhesive. Dimmer switch is nice.

It worked well for three months and now it won’t turn on. I love these lights because they are much brighter than their competitors and work well for my painting studio. The good thing is, I reached out to the company and they sent me a replacement. Hopefully it lasts longer this time around!

I notified CT CAPETRONIX on 11-05-23 that my delivered order was missing parts. "The package contained the light strip however the AC/DC adapter and the dimmer switch were missing rendering the item useless. I have sent a message to CT Capetronix to advise them of the problem and shall await a response, at which time I may reevaluate my rating." Later that evening I received an email from CT CAPETRONIX that the item was refunded, and this morning received notification from Amazon that the item was refunded. FIVE Stars from both CT CAPETRONIX and AMAZON customer service for the immediate response. I may try reordering the same product. ... show more

    • Remains lit when it should be shut off. light switch doesn't shut off the current completely

I like it for the low voltage light output it really made a difference in the room I put it in however The string doesn't shut off completely.... it turns on fine but once it's shut off there will be segments of LEDs that will still be lit on the string and that's not good. The room never really goes completely dark. The segments light up in random sections. Each time it's different. If this is a repeat problem for other people, please contribute your experiences. I am contacting the manufacturer to see if I can get a new rheostat. I'm also adding that the wall transformer heats up when the light is completely on high. I guess the safest thing to do with this light string is to completely unplug it from the wall if you want it to shut off completely. ... show more
