I was doing my daughter's wedding invitations using a very heavy cardstock for the outer invitation folders. The outer flap has an intricate cut pattern and after cutting four folders using a new "regular" fine point blade, the corners in the cuts were curling and tearing during the cut process. I had to throw them out. I put in this blade hoping to get more than four out of it before having to use a new blade. Amazingly, I cut another 90 folders with it, and no issues at all. I did occasionally wipe the blade to remove tiny bits of debris, but the same blade is still in my machine, and I have used it for additional projects. Does the job but they do not last as long as the original that came with the machine. 60 lb cardstock wore them down very quickly. I was making 50 invitations and changed the blade twice in one night.

The type of fabric that I use has tons of glitter and dulls blades pretty quickly. These premium blades are about the same price and the regular fine point and last much longer so I'm actually saving money. I will definitely be sticking with these from now on. They are very easy to install.
