Convenient to retract the blade. The point of the blade is hard to see so if you have bad eyes like I do, you will struggle for your starting point.

Tried on copy paper, it cut well, including curved lines. Also found my hand didn't feel like cramping as it does with prolonged use of Exacto knife. Unfortunately, when I tried it on a thin piece of scrap packaging, the plastic tip surrounding the blade cracked into two pieces from the downward pressure. Should be produced using a denser plastic because I was able to salvage the inner cartridge with cutting point by inserting in a ink pen body with a wide barrel made of denser material. The retractable point is a good safety feature and pens came in a sturdy reusable box. Update: works well on cardstock too. ... show more

You have to get used to them. Practice on something you don't care about till you get used to them cutting they drag at first . It's just because your used to an exacto blade that dosn't swivel once you practice they are very nice. TRYTIGRESS

I have a phobia of knives and x-acto blades, so making a blade look Not Like A Blade (and, in this case, like a mechanical pencil) was a dream come true for me and my love of crafts. I overuse scissors a lot, and it does not allow me the precision of most blades. Unfortunately, these break very easily (the plastic pencil bit does, not the blade itself in my experience) and is not an easy blade to guide or use. It tore my items in question often, or where it "cut" had a ripped-paper like texture. The blade kept rotating the way mechanical lead often does, and I think that was to blame for the lack of precision. I wouldn't recommend buying these, unfortunately. I wish I knew an alternative for my fellow blade-phobia people out there, but I'm lost too. Sucks that this isn't as ideal as I would have hoped. I WILL ADD AN UPDATE HERE IF I DO FIND AN ALTERNATIVE: But as of right now, I haven't. ... show more

I usually use a craft blade to cut little pieces my Cricut misses but there’s pens are awesome!! I had a design I was afraid wouldn’t get cut right because of all the thin detail. I was able to do it by hand with on these little pens! Came out perfect.
